Write speed not much different.

i would think even having an ssd just for games will not be optimal as it will still have to go through the os drive to load the game ? maybe will be faster than normal hdd but will definitely not be faster than os drive on the same ssd if u ask me

Whoa, that is bad! I'm lucky I went for the Intel 320 by chance.

Yes, when it comes to storage, my main concern is reliability. That's why I don't mind paying more if I have to, just for the peace of mind. And I always backup. Always.

That's why I only choose original Intel designed motherboard, Intel CPU and Intel SSD only. A lot of people over looked Intel motherboard. I don't really bother about benchmark as reliability and stability is the most important to me.

M/B and CPU are only part of the stability and reliability system. There are other things to look out for such as RAM, power supply and harddisk.

Even your system is 99.5% stable, MickiSoft is only 60% stable with so many backdoor and loopholes. Watch your six.

Programs like CrystalDiskInfo and SSD Life (or HDD Life for that matter) use SMART values to determine health. But not all errors are reported by SMART. Many of my failed drives had no SMART warning.

I realise that Windows 7 is repeatedly mentioned wrt SSD installation. Can I safely say that WinXP does not support SSD or rather, will have problems during and after installation? Please enlighten. thanks !!
