Hi guys.. the Intel 320 120GB SSD covers 5 years warranty which PC themes selling.? planning to upgrade from HDD to SSD. Also i just want to ask my laptop model is ASUS K42JA do they support SATA II. i checked the specification of my laptop say only 2.5 SATA, i don't know if my ASUS K42JA support SATA II to be able to maximized the speed of SATA II. I know also it's backward compatible those SATA II. Just want to ask first before i'll buy the said item. Thanks a lot!

Hi guys,

I would like to get a SSD for my OS and applications. I am currently running Win 7 Ultimate 64bit.

I have read a lot of choices for SSD and got a little confused with TRIM, SATA2/3 and NAND.

So, I would like to ask whether the performance and efficiency of SSD is affected by the specs of the RAM, MOBO and CPU?

I attached some information on my CPU, MOBO and RAM, and hope some kind soul would help me to choose a suitable SSD.

I don't understand.

With so many problems about sandforce drives, which I many are related to manufacturers, why do you guys still get other drives other than Intel? For paper specs? It's no fun dealing with problematic OS drives.

Intel seems to be more mature after their firmware problems of previous generation ssd. Now they are increasing warranty from 3 to 5 year, shows how confident they are with the new ssd. Price is very competitive, can be cheaper than alternatives. I really don't see the point of getting non-intel ssd.
