I tried to reply directly to your pm with more details but I couldn’t & I don’t know why. Perhaps u want to pm me with ur other means of contact? I promise no harassment.

Could be due to your low post count. It's okay, my sleeping disorder has improved somewhat so in no hurry to try any product.

Would appreciate if you could post more details here for awareness, I don't think that would construe as selling/advertisement. :)

Look like I spoken too soon, couldn't fall into sleep until around 4am last night. Damn, really hate this feeling of not able to sleep even though one is sleepy/tired.

Try TCM approach... insomnia is 心肾不交....

Yup, I can attest that TCM works. A few months back I had pretty bad insomnia: slept only 3 - 4 hrs each night. The TCM at Chung Hwa Medical Centre at Toa Payoh diagnosed that I had too much internal heat: 虚火 so gave herbs in both powder, capsules & tablets. After about 2 weeks sleep began to improve & I’m getting 6.5 - 7 hrs of sleep each night now.

The magnesium I take is a New Zealand brand - very effective but the capsule size is quite large

Mg capules/tabs are large because you need quite a large amount of it, especially if you're active. I usually take between 400-600mg of it daily, which works out to be 2-3 tabs (200mg each).

nope.. still using diazepam/alprazolam/hydroxyzine to help with my sleep. but I switch around the 3 and avoid taking them everyday to minimise tolerance and dependency as far as possible. still sleeping about 4-6 hours every 2 days.

I saw a psychologist at a polyclinic two years back because I keep waking up at the middle of the night and had trouble sleeping. Taught me some breathing and relaxation techniques. I still have some sleeping problems but not as frequent as before. If you want medication, then you seek a psychiatrist. But going to a psychologist first is better if want to avoid any medication.

What is your hydroxyzine dosage? I took half a pill of 25mg and already dislike the side effect. :s22:

My condition has improved somewhat, only having sleep issue on 2-3 days in a week. Wanted to know what method(s) other insomnia sufferer use that help them overcome or improve on the condition. Seeking medical consultation will be the last resort if it became way too serious!

Try the spiritual way.
