recalling my 2 month ++ post,

i also ask best about the warranty, i show him lg websites say 1 yr warranty, but he claim it 3yr and even show me the whatsapp message with lg to confirm it 3 yr, cause he mention i not the first to ask about lg 1 yr warranty on the monitor and say lg in korea will change the websites

pls note this is 3440 so ppi is 95 while asus 32 is 138 and hv dual mode to switch to 1080p(so it sharper then 3440 at 1080p cause internal tming etcc will off set this while 3440 cant).

so best denki and lg ai chat does not know their warranty1 so i email lg and this is their reply

waited 2 month. best claim lg will lg in korea will change the websites. after 2 month nv change, so lg websites tell the true, it 1 yr warranty for gaming oled

1yr warranty is crazy. Thought they would change it after the pulled their listing for a while on the Website. Truly a shame as I would never spend 2.6k - 2.9k on one year warranty, even if it's WOLED and has less issues then Samsung QD-OLED. I understand if no burn-in warranty, but total one year only yeah definitely not.

Even Samsung offers 3yr warranty including burn-in in SG while it's one year in other countries. Funnily enough LG OLED TV got 3 year warranty but 1yr for monitor. Samsung has 1yr OLED TV warranty but 3yr for monitor.. make it make sense

i was hoping best denki staff is right but ended up he lie but heng nv buy, as expensive item i usually take 1yr to 2yr to buy

Lg G series and up oledtv have 5 years warranty, but online got people kpkb is useless as lousy goods play punk

i wonder anyone here with lg oled monitor, if you register online warranty, does it show 3 or 1 year in your lg account?

why you change panel? what wrong?


for lg to change their warranty to 1 yr must be serious QC goes down alot or too many oled burn in issues so change 1 yr

Burn-in is not really an issue with the newer OLEDs. My Dell AW3225QF after 20 months of heavy use is still fine.

That said, I think 2 or 3 years warranty is a must for peace of mind. 1 year is too short, especially considering that OLEDs are premium monitors with premium prices.

Not OLED - IPS Panel. Severe image retention and white blooming bar on the outer side of the screen after just a few minutes of using.

So they just replace the whole panel, working well so far. Quite fuss free, which is why I'm inclined to buy from LG again, I did not register back then, they just take from my invoice date to honour my warranty.
