i remember SAF always buy Super Group cup noodles for NSFs' nightsnack. haha. A humble contribution to a small segment of Super's biz. Considering most of their revenue comes from coffee, how many of you actually drink it?

Also, i feel their type of coffee is only drunk by folks in the SE region. Unless the rest of the world starts to appreciate our type of coffee, their growth will be limited (i am not ruling out a population boom in this region, haha). :)

Singapore sales droppped by 11%.

Super Group's great horned Owl is clipping its wings as business in Singapore takes an ugly flight. CIMB noted that in Singapore, Super Group recorded an 11% sales decline due to the transition of the cereal business and real loss of coffee market share for its Owl brand. CIMB noted that the broad picture is one that shows slowing consumption across markets.

Here's more:
In Singapore, although the decline was partly due to the transition in the branding of its cereal products, coffee competition i.e. the loss of Super’s combined brands’ market share, is the other main concern for us.
Branded consumer (BC) sales used to grow 9-11% in the past three years. 1Q BC sales fell 6% yoy and this is a big red flag. The biggest markets are now in this order: Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, China, Singapore and the Philippines. China has climbed up to No. 4 not because it is firing all cylinders, but because Singapore has turned a lot softer. Malaysia, China and the Philippines all saw flat-to-rising sales growth, but this was dragged down by declines in Thailand, Myanmar and Singapore.

Was looking for this info on its Singapore market performance, thanks.

Its local performance looks pretty bleak, which bodes very badly for the stock. Expected when the SG coffee market competition is so intense.

Think the stock price will slowly drift down unless overseas markets can pick up the slack. And I'm not so hopeful of that either when you think of all the global brands like Sbux and other local competitors all muscling in on the action.

One silver lining is maybe it will get privatized at a low price.

During the era of PSC talkshows hosted by Chen Shu Chen, our parents generation are 3 in 1 coffee supporters.

Just went to have a meal there. I think super not worth for the cup of coffee. Cost $2+ only a small cup of coffee like those traditional size.

I also find that the food also very little and cost expensive.
