I have not really tested it as I m using it in office, needed to connect it to multiple monitors with the surface dock, which is providing power source.

Occasionally I need the Microsoft office, iTunes, do a little web design. I guess I am ok because I have a Logitech keyboard which I use for typing. I think pen quite good to take notes

I got a Surface Pro from Harvey Norman. The NETS Flashpay card promotion was still ongoing although it's supposed to have ended officially on 1st Sep. They still have the Flashpay cards left. Haha

Tried using it as a tablet yest...it's not as smooth as my iPad. But it's ok because I am primarily going to be using it as a laptop.

I see most ppl buy both keyboard and pen. Seems like I am the only one with just tablet. Lol!

I bought the new pen but hardly use it. One reason being i still have not gotten the screen protector (afraid I might accidentally scratch the surface) and the other is that i m not familiar with it. Need sometimes to figure out its true potential

Keyboard I guess more useful than pen. Unless u draw a lot or write notes

I had used my sp4 for more than a year without any protector, writing on it. No issue. No need to worry so much. It is built to use with their pen, unless u use normal pen to write on it.

Any data on SP battery degradation over time? Some batteries are amazing for 6 months then downhill after that

After using for a few days, quite solid. Have no $ to buy tablet + laptop so got for hybrid. So far quite shiok.

Anyone knows where is the service center in case we need it?

I used surface pro 3 entirely without type or touch keyboard cover, then got surface pro 4 I didn't immediately get type cover. later got the debut version of alcantara type cover, after Amazon Microsoft touch cover 2 didn't work with sp4
