That's exactly what I thought too.. And I think Soci is a very general degree whereas business degrees might be more specialized? They re are various interesting job prospects for Soci but ultimately it's just making good use of your command in English (where you get to strengthen in the time there). Even tho Unisim isn't as recognized but it's slowly progressing towards that goal.
I had my struggles with unisim's mkting and acc too. Couldn't decide which to go for cuz mkting is where my heart lies... Just looking at the modules of mkting gets me all excited and I can't say the same for acc. I graduated with a specialization in mkting and wanted to pursue it. But well, after many research and headaches, I decided to give up mkting cuz you don't actually need a mkting degree to do the job. Anyone could do it.
Not trying to sway you ya, that's never my intention. I'm glad you're firm in deciding to study in where your interests lie! Hope I won't regret going w acc.
Yeah bro. I totally understand when you are coming from. I thought the same about ntu sociology being too general and prefer marketing which is my passion. Then I am faced with the dilemma of finance which provides much more specialisation compared to marketing. After some research, I decide to just go with marketing since I feel that I would still pursue a people oriented career and I am confident of doing better with the marketing modules as compare to finance.
Hope both our decisions turn out well
