how to appeal sia?

Perhaps you can consult the school for more clarifications on this matter if you are planning to appeal.

But from what I know, you have to submit a letter emphasising extensively on the strong points of your credentials, and why the school had probably erred in not taking those points into consideration for your application.

Some may choose to seek help from their Member of Parliament.

For me nah not appealing. I may wait till end Dec to see if any successful ones gave up their seat and it came to me! Haha! Otherwise, go apply other course ready.....

Hey man, sorry to hear that. But I am glad you are taking it positively and keeping an open mind on this matter. Since you mentioned you are not planning to appeal, perhaps you might want to find a community related job/work to enhance on your social service background before you give another attempt at the next intake, if you are still keen on the LLB with SUSS.

Congratulations to all who got in! Now we can sleep in peace for the night.

We have come a long way since the start of our application, and finally we have a bit of a closure. But soon we may start to worry about how to complete our assignments, how to keep up with a GPA of 3.5, our school fees, whether we can graduate with flying colours, whether we can secure a training contract for those who plan to practise, and if we can finally pass the bar exam and become an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court!

But I am sure we will all find a way. See you guys around!

And for my friends who unfortunately did not get accepted, I really hope you do not give up on seeking a law degree if you are really passionate about becoming a lawyer. Where there is a will, there is a way. Good luck!

hi guys! ive gotten my offer letter too! see u guys around! for me i dont have much community service too just donate blood and hair for hope and things like that. my lnat score was 27 only. hope the rest of u get your letters soon! and to appeal can consider volunteering for legal clinics via law soc. i signed up for a slot in case i needed to appeal and i cld show that i took the interviewers comments to heart.

Just so you know, I scored above global average for my LNAT last year and my application was rejected while a friend with similar work experience but way lower LNAT score got in. I tried again this year and got in. So far, all of those whom I knew put in a successive application got in. In telling you this, I hope you don't think that I'm giving you false hope; rather, I hope you see that a successive application may convince them that you really want it and they may just give it to you. I mean, for those of us who got in on the second try, it's not as if there was that much time for us to beef up our application that much.

To add on, the vice dean asked me what if I didn’t get in. What would i do?
I said i’ll apply for another course on which i had also set my sights.. then he asked why not try applying for law again? I said maybe i would..
Point of me saying this is because i think they might be looking for those who really wants it but cos of limited intake..

To be honest, I am afraid I can’t convince them too. (My earlier post in this thread). So I actually started last week to get more supporting document n etc. I intended to appeal as I mentioned this afternoon.

Don’t give up if rejected guys.
No harm appealing because you already spend money on the LNAT.

We will only know the grouping in 13 Jan or is there somewhere that I can know before hand? I can’t find my own grouping .. isit bcos I miss out?

23 & 28. Don't be so fixated with LNAT, my relative got in with a low double digit score and both she and my friends in the various batches have had classmates who had LNAT scores that aren't terribly high.

I just wanted to share with people who had just got rejected to really not give up. I've tried twice as of this year and didn't even want to apply again cause of the fear of rejection but in the end, I stood my ground.

I've just been given my offer for the year 2021/2022 (as I'm still serving National Service) even with an LNAT multiple-choice score of 20/42. I wasn't part of any CCA whereby I held a leadership role or even achieved anything.

However, one thing I do have was a passion for Law and Justice and really would go to even overseas just to ensure that I study Law. I couldn't imagine myself in another profession and even if I did, I would not see myself contended or doing something fulfilling for myself or the community.

So if you have similar ambitions/passion as me, it doesn't matter the score or your "credentials", what's more, important is how you prove to them why you're suitable for it, why you are passionate for it and how far you're gonna go for it. So don't give up if this is really what you wanted.

I have seen people with LNAT scores of 16 or 17 and did not even complete their LNAT essays getting into the course. My score is a good score & cannot get in. Fireduke, you got me thinking. Now I am thinking if I should re apply or go for the intelligence (security studies) course. Haizzz... .you got me thinking and you have a good heart.

Good hearts here actually telling others not to give up & the pointers. Thanks people! Will think through.

You guys have been helpful. The security studies has a july intake. It also has an admissions interview. I have no clue what questions they will ask.

I will apply for that. If I get in, settled. If I do not, then I will apply once again for the Law degree.

If I fail the 2nd time, then maybe time for me to move to Infocomm Technology or Psychology. In that order.

Edited: Just realised that the Security studies programme is only for selected few organisations. Bummer.
