I did my 1st degree in SIM (Global Education) under RMIT, Business Marketing. Totally unrelated to law. And my grades sucked.

They are looking for relevant experience for entry into the JD programme (I worked part time at a law firm while taking my RMIT degree, then while I was full time at a law firm, I applied for the JD programme).

Hey birdrobin!! Thanks for sharing and answering all our questions so far!! Very generous of you :)

May i ask what do u do in the law firm? Marketing / business related or legal related?

I applied in 2016 and was rejected probably as it was the first intake and competition was tough. My LNAT score was 19 back then.

Thinking of applying for 2021 intake. Applications start only in January 2021 right?

Applications for the 2021 intake has closed in July and interview notices have been sent out. Applications for the 2022 intake opens next year.

So far everyone here seems to be in session 1, 2 or 3....most likely these 3 sessions only.

I vaguely remember back in April Webcast session, a lecturer said there be 80 placement for this intake and about 60 will go to mid-career changes. It is also iterated in the news Jan 2020 and mentioned during my session of Webcast that they hope to recruit Computer science/engineer for the course as it is foreseen more IT technology crimes in near future.

When SUSS first launched the programme, the intake placement was 60.

U are from the A levels/IB cohort?
Did they even ask U to submit ur grades?or just the degree will do?

I guess U do have an advantage because U are currently in the industry as a paralegal.I am not from the industry....just have a personal interest in family law.

just completed the interview. looks like they squeeze a few people in the same slots but different panel of interviewers, so it's still a personal one on one interview and not a group interview. typical questions on why law, why SUSS, and how you going to afford the course.

all the best to the rest!
