Went to check out the mall today. Had Malaysian food for breakfast and lunch. Didn't get to check out the shops outside. :)

Visited the mall yesterday. Very spacious!

For Dim Sum, I went to Chaw Yuan. Nothing too outstanding, but they have loads of tourists visiting in the morning. Business is really good.

I think Da Shanghai Dim Sum at the front of the mall should be better (assuming it is similar to the one in KSL)

For lunch, went to Palsaik Korean BBQ. Located at the cluster of shop houses nearby.

Specializes in Pork Belly marinated in 8 different flavors. Similar to the one in Clarke Quay SG. 128RM compared to 98SGD... Definitely not worth the price in SG!

They have a running man restaurant nearby. Will check it out next time!

Chaw Yuan cannot eat already. Last time I like their chicken glutinous rice and paper wrap chicken, but now... CMI. Even since they take in morning tour bus business, the food is even worse.

If you are in Sutera Mall area, can try Da Shanghai as you have recommended, or Say Yes (思源) for dim sum. In the basement of Sutera Mall, there is a shop called 包栈。Their skin of bun is very nice. Worth buying if you have not tried before.

There is a Hong Kong restaurant 尖沙咀, which serves superb char siew 肥婆叉烧, but this premium char siew is not cheap.

Other than that, I think Sutera Mall area has nothing else worth eating. I usually go there for cafe actually.

Sutera Mall is really not far from Aeon Bukit Indah, so I'd go for Hotel Granada.

No need to go all the way back to Bukit Indah for hotel. If you are not too fussy, there are 1 or 2 stars hotel in Sutera Mall area:
