I don't know whether the toilets and changing room are free to use. It's a problem if they don't allow people to shower after swimming.
You can rinse, dry and go off for now when using the public pool. Currently 1 coach with 5 students only. The next bidding exercise for coaches to teach at public pool will be announce 18th aug 2020.

What do you mean rinse? Cannot take own sweet time and have a long shower?

With ongoing virus, anyone still going to swim? Is it safe to do so? Can virus spread in water? Saliva and urine in the water. I personally don't feel safe about it.

According to infectious dieases Dr Leong as shown on News channel it’s safe to swim because virus don’t like water, they will die by process of osmosis...

If you are uncomfortable, don’t swim lor...

Go OCBC aquatic centre to swim better.
Evening time not sure if it will be crowded. Weekdays afternoon is ok.

Hmmm, is it good to get a austswim cert and coach for under/referral of a known swim academy now? Went to carousel and saw quite a no. Of private coaches posting for clients.. seems supply>demand ?

Good to get austswim cert as it is easier roadmap as compared to getting the NROC. Austswim requires you to know 3 strokes of freestyle, breast and back plus treading water whereas NROC requires you to know all the 4 strokes including butterfly. NROC has an advantage of coaching both public and condo, whereas austswim can teach only condo. Regards to mentoring, it is wise to look for a serious coach that teach you proper coaching from start. A good mentor will produce good students. History has proven it so many times. :) Good luck and all the best.

Some of the goodness of swimming are :
1) Better Body Posture
2) Least injury sport due to low impact
3) Anti aging- you look younger
4) Improve health and cardiovascular functions.

Many many more. Give it a try. Those who plan to swim in the public pool need to use your activesg app to book the slot. Have fun swimming.
