Syfe has said that their REITs portfolio is not designed by them. It follows the iEdge S-Reit index, which is balanced twice yearly.

The recent rebalance is precisely the index being rebalanced.

If you bought the 100% reits, that is the only rebalancing that will even occur.
If you bought the ARI version, then yes, there will be some balancing against SGD bonds.

I'm on Reits balance and saw the same sell/buy transactions so think it's both. I thought this follows the index or if this is the ARI calculation. Don't think they manually choose what to sell/buy otherwise it became active managed fund.

did they add more bonds in the portfolio?

Hi gurus!

May I ask if, it is still a good time to enter REITS 100%?

Looking to DCA at minimum amount.

Thank you so much!

If you're gonna be DCA-ing regularly, then it honestly doesn't matter. Don't look for reasons to not begin investing.

Greatly appreciate.

Pardon me but would it be redundant to invest in REITS if i'm currently DCA-ing ETF?

Thank you so much!

Why would one decision affect the other (unless you're holding some REIT ETF, specifically)?

It just depends on how heavily weighted you are in the different regions. If you're currently lacking in the local market, I think the Syfe REIT+ portfolio is quite decent.

So if wana start in REIT (which only have STI ETF and STASHAWAY general investing), syft reit+ is currently one of the best?

If DIY following their list, is it ok also?

There's a whole thread dedicated to it on MM. You can read it.

Can I just ask, will the roboadvisor auto sell and buy for you? The portfolio wouldn't just stay stagnant throughout right?

Buy and sell to rebalance the portfolio. If 1 reit is overweight, syfe will sell it and buy those underweight reits so it can maintain the weightage. Overall portfolio would still remain intact with the intended weightage

Sorry just curious...how often does this rebalancing occur? Does it happen on a regular basis? Or randomly? :s11:

It happens whenever the underlying REIT ETF rebalances, since the Syfe REIT portfolio just replicates some REIT index. It happens once or twice a year, iirc.

Sorry just want to ask too, how come funds like the referral bonus are not added into the portfolio value?

So far for my portfolio the total value only reflects the cash I've topped up. Referral bonus or payout from the Capitaland merger are not added to it (although they show up in the transactions records).
