actually i think they limit the number of their offerings also because if there is no economies of scale, it would cost much more.

so they need to start small first

Just checking many ppl familiar with SPDR gold shares GLD or other gold ETF equivalent. Anyone also invest with his lesser known brother Silver?

Saw iShares Silver Trust so wondering if it is good companion to Gold but I compare using Google Finance between the two over many years Gold is significantly outperforming silver.

Is Silver needed in one's portfolio?

The video is quite balanced. He did mention if one have multiple Custom then Syfe trade which is only 2 free trade cost more. But if one Custom is only 1-2 ETF yes Syfe trade better.

For me I got 15-20 Custom each one ETF if I use Syfe trade wow heavy cost after free 2 the rest must pay

i think it dpends on the time of Entry too , i trust u enter last mid-yr or later 2021
and mine w Endowus: (u can use it as a form of Comparison though it is mainly UTs)
TWR: 3.58% (today should be 0.88% only)
YTD -9.25% (today shd be -11.61%)
I started my journey w Endowus (handpicked by myself) ESG since Feb 2021, i dont regret what i believed in
i hope Haikallp didnt have TAN in your ESG

So u must be mentally prepared how your Syfe thematic will perform for the next 1 yr!(if he is correct)

I join Syfe late but a look at Syfe thematic ETF all has not been doing well since start of this year. The only ones ok going was Energy,Metals ETF etc but just last week and coming all are going down. The only one green for me is Indonesia ETF. Yes I like to diversify so I also have Thailand, Latin America 40, Indonesia, Australia and those countries seem not hit so hard by the US market meltdown. Diversification seem to help a bit for my case.

Yes, I started the Syfe tech portfolio in Sep 2021 and have been DCA-ing small amount weekly ever since. Currently -35.59%. As far as I remember, the portfolio was only in the green once for a few days since I started.

Recently Syfe swapped out the IPO ETF for BLOK and reduced exposure to KWEB. Hopefully it will recapture some of the losses but judging by the current outlook, probably gonna take a year to two to breakeven

but What is your Syfe tech pf about ? is it a thematic (a thematic called Tech??) ? or u hand-picked it all by yourself just like some of us?
(We have Syfe Equity or Syfe Reits or things like thematic ESG ...... too but obviously from your description, it is not)


I m not sure can u opt not to let them do re optimizing (in case u dont wish to) ? Syfe Reits cannot and my Syfe custom are all handpicked by me hence they cannot do anything to it

but u must be mentally prepared BLok is highly volatile (i trust u must have match your investment needs before u took that syfe )

u can toy with some popular tech-related stks and see their past performance for a feel (doesnt guarantee abt the future at all)

It is one of the 5 thematic portfolios -- it is called Disruptive Technology. I don't mind letting them re-optimize the portfolio; after all that is why I used a robot.

I intend to stay invested for 3-5 years so I will just let it do it things for now while I continue to DCA, but seeing it down by that much does cause some #emotionaldamage

I think if you feel emotional damage maybe stock,ETF,UT etc investing is not suitable for you. Did you check your own risk appetite before you went in? If yes than that emotional damage should not come in or if still does maybe you can stop DCA for the thematic portfolio (not ask to sell since will lose monies) or say DCA less frequently with lesser amount each time but remain invested ?

Actually now market volatile wonder if you do some rearrange (buy other ETF instead) among them. E.g XT BLOK look to be downtrend for many months. While DCA monthly should ignore emotion it doesn't hurt to rearrange your investment once in a while

E.g for me if it is downtrend all the way for X months I will stop and question if those monies can be used elsewhere. DCA in theory sound good but for me in practice I still hold back
