I just went to Lu Shan for hot Spring, try not to go in the night. The hot spring is around 25 mins away from Cing Jing. In the end, we detoured back to our Minsu as we felt unsafe.
Going at night is very dark and dangerous. Just a penny of my thoughts.
You went by yourself, or got transport from Minsu? If transport from Minsu, thought the bus only ferry at night?
25mins sounds near. Yapnot hotspring alone is advised. Maybe ppl there to see sunset too.
I got private transport. This is the website. PM me if u need it. They have a fleet of cars and drivers.
The driver took a short cut and there were no street lights. so we panic. but it should be fine... I didnt expect it to be so far away from cing jing.. tot it would only be a 10 min car ride. didnt do my research before going, my bad. But i still think going to lu shan before the sun goes down is better and safer.
Dun quote me, but i am sure there was a recent news less than a year ago. Some uncle go soak, then was killed by some falling rocks.

For everyone's info, when I emailed Tomato Room in Taichung for prices inquiry, they directed me to book at No Parking Hostel instead.

It's still near Fengjia NM, but I went with Le Parker hotel, which is just beside the hostel. For $6 more per pax for just 1 night stay, rather go with a place that have better security.

How much more if u compare with city inn taichung? That establishment in taichung is unique. Let me know if u need photos. But rooms are small though.

no additional beds are allowed for city inn, and their 4 ppl room is the same price as Le Parker.
Understand that it's more convenient to stay near the railway, but since we're only staying at Taichung for one night only, plus our main focus is Fengjia NM, that's why chose near Fengjia instead.

I stayed in CI Taichung in the last trip. Very nice hotel but small yet cosy room. Near to railway but far from FJNM. Quite a hassle from the railway to CI if you have heavy luggage as need to go up and down the stairs in the tunnel.
As long as not hard case, then i think should be quite light.
Food for thought: Always plan that your last destination as the one that you will hoot the most items!

There is a carrefour very near to CI. Hoot the instant noodles from there... lol...
Instant noodles really that unique? My friends just came back with loads of it...
Sigh. Ytd emailed PigHome to book from 6th to 10th with my details, today found that the contact person is on leave....and someone booked that room ONLY on the 8th.

At least u still checked. Last summer in taitung, we booked for 2 nights, the person saw n just reserved one night for us. Upon checking, we realized my email to him was wrong date and he did not even checked to point out the mistake. In the end, we changed to another room which is shared. My friend almost cannot sleep for that night.
Sometimes booking minsu can be rather tricky!
