Liek what Andrew said, egg or sim card, is really dependent on your own usage.

Eg, small group movement and will always be together de, get an egg.

Small group movement but got individual acitvities de, get Sim card.

Cause you must be near to each other to stay connected. But if one chooses to go to one place, and the other another place, then GG le.

Both are equally effective and serves its function well.

The key question is, what do you need?

Need to change sim card may be a good thing. Ppl can't contact you on yr SG number, if you are a Apple user. :)

I bring 2 phones so no problem.

I booked the Klook sim card, very easy to use. Even though it kept reminding us to top up upon 5 day usage to extend validity, it's actually no need to. We booked a 10 day sim card. Can call, can unlimited data. Total cost is cheaper if you refer a new user to book. We paid about $16. Use a CIMB cc to pay, can get back 10%, so it's about $14 for unlimited 4g data.

I booked the Klook prepaid sim card for my recent trip too!

I decided to get the sim card over data travel because I heard that you would need a local number to make taxi bookings over the phone (a benefit over wifi router?). But I can't confirm this because I used Uber instead :s13: Anyhow, loved the unlimited 4G data as I needed it for work, and also the ability to make and receive local calls.

Overall experience was great - you will receive information from Klook on exactly where to collect at your selected terminal, a service staff will help to change and activate the sim card for you, 4G worked everywhere I went - including the mountainous areas. Like Perisher, I received an sms about topping up for the 10-day sim card that I got, but I ignored it.

The one I bought was called 'Welldone' 4G SIM Card with Calls (TW Airport Pick Up) for Taiwan on the Klook website, it's $20.60 before any applicable promo. The little booklet that came with it says Taiwan Mobile (台灣大哥大).

Btw, hi, I'm new here :) Hope the information above helps!

Same as above. Mine was harder to find the place to get my SIM card as the people there at Kaohsiung airport dunno simi 统振股份有限公司.

Ends up it’s at the most left small corner company once you exit the custom, facing the exit. I was being redirected 4x in that small airport arrival place... :s22:

The Klook voucher provides links to a simplified map and image of the counter where we are supposed to make the collection..did you use that? (I wanted to post the links here, but I am not allowed to..). By the way, I mentioned 客路 (Klook in Chinese) and the service staff understood immediately. I saw a girl in front of me who had the exact same Klook email on her phone, I'm not sure what she said to the service staff but she got redirected to somewhere else :s13:

Ya I try, but you should see how it can easily be misled as the counters are all side by side, so when I go to the left counter it directed me to the opposite who directed me to the one on their right before directing me back to opposite who directed me to opposite yet again until finally we realise it’s the right side counter or the immediate extreme left if u face the exit pass the custom. Funny thing is that guy there never got involved throughout, haha.

I show them my klook printout but I guess they can’t read English.
