i just got my c835 1 month ago, this is my firmware, is it better to update as sometime my tv dont get connect to my soundbar after i put to rest mode and switch on again

so i just download the file and follow this step?


1. Format a USB Flash drive using FAT32.
2. Copy the ZIP archive onto the drive (It needs to be the only file there).
3. Insert the USB drive in your TV's USB port (Android should recognise it, you can skip that message).
4. Goto the Android TV Setting Menu and find and select the System Update section.
5. Choose "Local Update" from the menu that is presented.
6. Wait and watch – it will take 5 minutes or so, then reboot, which will take 10 minutes or so.
This method will not reset all your settings and installed apps.

Yes, with OTA update (zip file) by local update, all apps and data remain.
With IMG file (different flashing), all apps and data is erased.

As per picture, you running Android TV (V011 firmware...T615T01), so with OTA file you can update only ATV.
You can try V083...V091 or V096 OTA files....
To change to Google TV, need to flash any T615T03 IMG file first, then update with V462....V463 or V469 OTA files...

Prices seem to have gone up considerably from TCL side, seems like Hisense has more budget models nowadays. TCL range that was usually brought in by PIs is also limited. I recall PI 75" LED models from TCL were <$1300 about 2yrs ago...
There's also a lack of slightly older models like C728.
In the market for a QLED (with decent FALD) in the 75" range right now.
