These giants are so big C-suite are not even 1% of total staffing.

The problem is if they fire 80% they the C-suite would have to start rolling up their sleeves and go down to help supervise just like elon himself.

If those C-suites get fired their entire village will be fired in a chain reaction.

They were overpaid for a long time.

Agree.
During covid there was free for all 'talent' grab.
Firms were paying top dollar and hiring rike crazy.
Many of these pple were hired first, then ask them to ownself propose project.

Those that drop celery shld count ownself lucky.
Coz those that didn't in decade or so will be deemed overpaid useless dinosaurs.

Back to point.

All sales are in demand regardless of what type of sales.

But when overall company needs to balance the books, that is when the cuts come in regardless.

As for SAAS sales, why is there a demand always. From what i know the turnover is very high due to the fact most sales dont hit target, so its next better player.
Nope. The reason is because a chase for growth. Many tech companies are always looking at 20% growth in ARR QoQ, and they just keep trying to fill more seats, make more calls, numbers game

Tech workers hit with decreasing salaries :( Down > 12 % How to FI early?

This is in US / UK where there is a lot of move towards offshoring (esp to India). In Singapore, FT from MY, IN, PH come and earn X3, X5 salaries. No decrease at all. :)
But the margin pressures will come to Asia too, it’s just not that much at the moment as Asia is still growing, and the spotlight is on the US/Europe.
I even see onshore Sg Indian FT competing w offshore Indians for some internal roles now. The more expensive AMDK are sent packing.
In the long run, only roles which are onsite and customer facing are safe.

Depends… must see how it goes, may not retrench just no replace. I can tell u how my CEO thinks of this (n probably many others in tech), they see competition hiring more n more engineers in growth hubs shipping out code faster than them because with lower cost they can hire more for same dollar.

So they are concern they will be left behind if they don’t hire in similar numbers but can only achieve that by hiring in cheaper markets. Now many have like 20% in existing location then 80% new hire in growth hubs
