Hello Aerial. Thanks for replying! I want to get myself insured with all the 'must have' polices in the event that anything unfortunate happen to me at least my family would be able to receive payouts and lessen the financial strain.
To your questions - family situation normal, no medical hx. Financial standing - salaried employee with savings.
Upcoming big events - getting married at the end of the year.
Hope I had given you a better insight on my profile.

Hi Pathways,

firstly, congratulation on your marriage!! I'm also getting married in a year or so! Anyway to answer your 'Must Have' Policies query, Generally there is Death/TPD, Critical illness/Early Critical illness, Hospitalization plan, Disability Income and Personal Accident Plan.

In a comprehensive planning, having all these pretty much makes your protection plan 'bullet proof'. In your scenario, I believe it will help if we sit down and discuss on your priorities.

Financial planning is not about buying insurance. It is to look at a portfolio as an overall, taking into consideration all aspects of your current lifestyle and future objectives including all the big events etc. If you feel you can benefit from having a chat with me, do let me know. I will pm you my contact number.

Hi Trickle, looking at your last sentence, I have some questions. The objective of buying this term plan is to boost up your current coverage for additional liabilities (e.g Housing) or do you intend to use this plan as a legacy or something else?

Without a definite Term that you wanted for this plan, it is hard to provide comparisons of quotes for your reference.

Hi, I am considering to take up the TM Legacy Lifetime with DD Accelerating and EarlyCare Rider. I would like to enquire whether there is any waiting period between CI claims, for example between Early Stage of CI (A) and Intermediate Stage of CI (A), or between Early Stage CI (A) and Early Stage CI (B). A TM financial advisor mentioned that there is a 6 months waiting period, but there is no mention of this in the benefit illustration. Any other TM agent can clarify? Thanks.

Hi,

Yes there is a 6 months waiting period between different stages for the same CI. If claims for both stages is made within 6 months, the higher stage will be paid. If claims for both stages is more than 6 months apart, both will be paid.

Hope I've helped to clarify your doubts

Hi Alex, thanks for ur reply. How about the situation where its Early Stage of 2 different unrelated CI occuring less than 6 months apart? Will the payout only be for one CI, or will still pay for both? Thanks.

Hi,

I will confirm that for you tomorrow with Tokio Marine. To the best of my knowledge, there is no waiting period for 2 unrelated ECI. But it is better to be safe than sorry!

And of cause, that is also provided that the sum assured for ECI is set at more than $75k. Because if it's $75k sum assured, the full amount would have been paid out after the occurrence of 1st ECI.

If you have any further enquiries that I can answer for you, do let me know. I will PM you my contact for convenience sake.

Hi Prashn,

I've gave Tokio Marine a call and they told me that there is no waiting period inbetween 2 different Early CI Claims. Hope it helps!

Hi Alex, thanks again for your reply. I have another question. If say for example a claim for Early Stage CI has been made and later, another Early Stage CI occurs but arising out of the first ECI, will any claim for the 2nd ECI be paid? Also, does TM Legacy Lifetime specify any minimum survival period for CI upon diagnosis before the claims r paid out? I only observe there is a 7 days survival period for the special benefits. Thanks again.

Hi, for the same early CI, it will only be paid once. As for survival period, I would need to double confirm for you but honestly speaking, survival period isn't a big concern for me as Death benefit will be fully paid out if the survival period isn't met.

Hi Alex, i guess ur rite on that point. Survival period is not very important in that sense. Thanks a lot for your help and clarifications.

Hi peeps, have been taking up this Prulife limited Pay (15 years payable) for a year plus. Hope to gather some advice on whether is the premium too high for the current plan.

Paying $190/month
Sum assured is $100K, includes death , accelerated terminal illness, crisis waiver, accelerated disability.

Is it worth or am I currently paying too much ?
