Plain vanilla term is pretty straightforward and price don't differ by much across companies.

Rather than wasting time shopping around, suggest you get from someone who is responsible and trustworthy. Ask yourself who can value add, who will be there for to help you with the claims, who will do periodic review and able to recommend you a plain that benefits you and not the agent. It's the agent that differentiate the products.

Hi quirkyhill, may I know what make u drop ur ilp? what are u currently considering to take up so far?

Im caught in a similar situation as u.. please refer to this link. http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/money-mind-210/bailing-out-pru-link-ilp-4040931.html

Appreciate ur advise:D

i learnt about the BTITR school of thought, that ilps take very long to break even, that it's better not to mix investment and insurance, that it's better to invest your own money etc... luckily i only paid 3 months' premiums thus far...

anyway, i haven't considered taking up anything yet. i'm sure some agents will have pm-ed you by now. no harm meeting a few of them to discuss more. there's no perfect plan, so only you can decide what's best for yourself :)

Would like to get quote for term for 10 years for coverage of 200k.

Age : 23
Gender : Female
Smoker/Non Smoker : Non-Smoker

Also, I currently have NTUC income's Income shield plan + rider. Do i still need CI? I was told that since i'm young, i should buy the best plan available because it's cheap (and it's easier to downgrade the plan as i age, than to upgrade). How true is this?

Hi PM sent, do take a look.

might be better to have more years instead of only 10 years....

Term Insurance with CI

Hi, any financial consultant here, please help me quote term insurance with critical illness until 65 years old for me (32 years old) and my wife (30 years old) for S$500K each. Please also indicate the product name.

Thanks in advance...:)

Friends,

Any idea if most term plans cover a normal death (no illness)? For example, dying in your sleep?

Also does anyone know if Aviva NS men insurance has that kind of coverage?

Cheers!

That has to depend on your family situation, financial standing, upcoming big events and at the end of the day what do you hope to achieve with the insurance.

You can consider getting an early critical illness plan and personal accident. If your healthshield does not include rider (payment by cash), it is good to include that.

Hello, thanks for replying! My health shield consists of a rider already. May i know what are the better early CI plans that are out in the market?

Hello Aerial. Thanks for replying! I want to get myself insured with all the 'must have' polices in the event that anything unfortunate happen to me at least my family would be able to receive payouts and lessen the financial strain.
To your questions - family situation normal, no medical hx. Financial standing - salaried employee with savings.
Upcoming big events - getting married at the end of the year.
Hope I had given you a better insight on my profile.
