Is there no end in sight? When I saw at $1k thought it was ex and now up 70% just like that.

FOMO is damn real.

got out at 14xx, then FOMO got back in at 13xx, now trading at 17xx lol

this week bank's earnings, wonder will it affect the overall market or not.

It's FOMO (or short squeezes, or market makers getting run over by call gamma, choose your explanation).

I mean, I'll be the first to say that Tesla makes nice cars, but for it to be worth more than every other car company in the world combined you have to make some truly heroic assumptions about a) how many people are going to buy EVs; b) what percentage of those EVs are going to be Teslas; c) how fast they're going to migrate to them from ICE cars; and d) how often they're going to replace them.

That doesn't mean I'd short it, though. Never, ever, EVER short a stock on valuation—because a stock that's overvalued can easily get even more overvalued. And when it does, your short actually grows in size as it goes against you, so you start losing more money even faster; it's kind of like having negative gamma, and it is not fun. I suspect that's happening to a lot of hedgies who convinced themselves that shorting TSLA was a slam-dunk trade; they might be right in the long term, but that's no help if you get stopped out on the way to zero.

When Volkswagen stock 5xed in a week back in '08, nobody thought that was "the real value revealing itself"—it turned out Porsche was displaying its superior cornering ability, on Volkswagen's stock. I think this is something similar.

i see dumb crypto crowd buying otm calls in tesla.
now is time to show at what price MM just dont make markets in tesla anymore

Wow, just sold 50% of my Tesla at 1700+ right before it went down. Took 100k+ profit to buy myself a Tesla =D
