so short 700P and long 650P? become bull put spread liao?
no, i sold my 700P for a small profit and used the profits to fund 650P.

last night was crazy sia, from 685 to 726, i see liao cannot slp :s22:

now futures looks like recovering liao, maybe i will cut losses.

650 is a tough number to hit, i need like 637 to break even....

TSLA stock is really wow, just wow......

anyway moi just bought a 650 put. seems like suicide.....

It's a cult stock and billionaires have also lost shorting it.
It defies fundamentals and technicals.
Better to short other stuff imo.
Tesla options tend to have pretty expensive option premium.

I use Syfe new promotion cash reward to test water. This stock is super volatile so last night while green a little sell all incur a loss (this come from the promotion cash reward). I cannot imagine buying full share the loss would even be more! US fractional shares is really a good feature especially if test water on a stock.

Dangerous to join them at that valuation :s22:

IBKR no new user promotion cash reward whereas Syfe have so I use Syfe and that cash reward to test water. Now I found Webull Spore at 0 cents comm fee IBKR is expensive at 35 cents to me. Fractional shares means I will have many trades and 35 cents each trade can add up quite a lot!

Btw Webull Spore minimum is USD 5 per trade for fractional shares. Syfe is minimum USD 1 per trade for fractional shares but only give us 3 free trades per month.

Ibkr is overall best imo.

BYD
it
Dethroned! tesla?
Tesla (TSLA) is no longer the world's biggest electric vehicle maker as the EV pioneer takes a backseat to BYD (OTCPK:BYDDY). The Chinese automaker, which is backed by Warren Buffett, sold 641,350 new energy vehicles in the first six months of 2022, representing a 315% increase from the same period last year. Tesla, on the other hand, only delivered a total of 564,743 vehicles in H1 as it contended with supply chain problems, factory lockdowns and sales disruptions in China.

BYD's figures include electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, while Tesla's only include battery electric cars (it doesn't produce a hybrid). The numbers still highlight the trajectory of BYD's growth, compared to the Elon Musk-run company, which just snapped a two-year streak as deliveries fell 18% last quarter. The developments have also been highlighted in their stock prices, with shares of BYD climbing 15% since the start of the year and Tesla tumbling 42% YTD.

"The performance looks impressive," said Jeff Chung, an auto analyst with Citi, referring to BYD's sales growth. The firm has also surpassed South Korea's LG as the world's second-largest producer of EV batteries, behind industry leader Contemporary Amperex Technology, known as CATL.

While BYD is also located in China, the carmaker has weathered regional coronavirus lockdowns much better than Tesla. That's because its factories are largely based away from COVID hotspots like Shanghai, which is the location of Tesla's Gigafactory 3. The facility accounted for half of Tesla's global production in 2021, but was shut for 22 days in May and has since struggled to reach pre-pandemic levels due to ongoing parts shortages....
