i'm eating normal. i only half a year ago try as much as possible to reduce saturated fat intake as I have elevated LDL. I do not eat much meat normally, only occasionally I binge on meat.
bo bian .... maybe take statin to control the LDL?

not asking you to eat CKT or KFC that kind of fats ... healthy fats like peanut butter, avocados etc

also calculate your TDEE ... and eat maybe 10% calorie surplus for 3 weeks and see how you feel.

testosterone test not cheap .... but can just do once

Have you considered checking your other hormones? Testosterone might not be the only one that's low, and understanding the full picture could help you change your diet.

Statins have been shown to potentially reduce testosterone levels and may impact other hormonal balances. Additionally, their use has been associated with an increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

did my tests in dec 2024
my testosterone level is 20.6 nmol/L
SHBG is 34.1 nmol/L
FAI is at 60%
Glucose fasting 70 mg/dL

It's well known as men gets older testosterone production gets lower

So it's natural and normal
Best is when younger between 16 to 21 years old is the peak male testosterone production levels.
You must be with the correct gal to work :s21:
Indeed, have to secure the right motivation!
you never say your age and why you suspect testosterone is low?

is it because hard to maintain erection or to get one due to low libido? or there is a limit to your gains from gym?
I believe will be very obvious from the lack of gains at the gym that something is not going well?

Medications that Lower Testosterone Levels

Research has shown that certain medications cause low testosterone as well. A variety of medication classes including but not limited to statins, antidepressants, chemotherapeutics, opioids, antifungals and certain hypertension medications can lower testosterone levels. Most of these drugs are prescription medications but there are some over-the-counter drugs which can potentially lead to decreased testosterone levels.

anyone know if TRT is expensive?
do you need to be permanently on the course?

i haven't test myself yet but suspect i have low testosterone.

Can research Boron.
The mechanism to increase free testosterone, the dosage, and side effects.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4712861/#:~:text=After only 1 week of,mL to 25.81 pg/mL.

After only 1 week of boron supplementation of 6 mg/d, a further study by Naghii et al of healthy males (n = 8) found (1) a significant increase in free testosterone, which rose from an average of 11.83 pg/mL to 15.18 pg/mL; and (2) significant decreases in E2, which dropped from 42.33 pg/mL to 25.81 pg/mL. All of the inflammatory biomarkers that were measured also decreased: (1) interleukin (IL) 6, from 1.55 pg/mL to 0.87 pg/mL; (2) high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) by approximately 50%, a remarkable decrease, from 1460 ng/mL to 795 ng/mL; and (3) tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) by approximately 30%, from 12.32 to 9.97 pg/mL. Levels of dihydrotestosterone, cortisol, and vitamin D increased slightly.

The significant decrease in the men’s plasma E2 after 1 week of boron supplementation suggests a higher rate of conversion of total testosterone (T) to free testosterone (FT) in the testosterone metabolic pathway. In support, the ratios of FT/T, T/E2, and FT/E2 were all significantly increased, indicating boron had androgen amplifier effects: (1) FT/T (pg/mL/ng/mL) increased from 3.62 to 4.66; (2) T/E2 (ng/mL) rose from 91.68 to 148; and (3) FT/E2 (ng/mL) from 0.31 to 0.67.

It is well known that approximately 98% of testosterone molecules are bound to proteins in the blood, principally to sex hormone–binding globulin (SHBG), and are not bioavailable because bound hormones cannot exit capillaries. Thus, the elevation of unbound free testosterone seen with boron supplementation may have significant beneficial ramifications, particularly in aging men in whom, typically, levels of SHBG increase and levels of FT decrease.

A more effective approach is to focus on diet rather than relying on a specific compound to target the increase of a single hormone, as other hormones also interact synergistically with testosterone.

Normal man think about sex once every 7 seconds

Low means think about sex every 7 months :(
You sure is normal man? I definitely think is crazy man. 7 seconds aren't enough to read a paragraph on pc screen, or type a line in email. Man dun do anything except to think about sex every 7 secs?

It is important to screen for prediabetes, as this condition may contribute to lower testosterone

i'm nearing 50.

i'm single so believe it or not, i'm really not so concern about sexual function but I'm constantly feeling fatigue, loss of muscle, poor mood and losing hair.

I do not think i'm sedentary (running about 180km per month) so it can't be lack of exercise causing it.
Diet is also very important - cholesterol is needed to produce hormones, including testosterones ;)

Instead of just running, doing resistance/strength training helps too

Don't be fooled by all these cholesterol myths

Our bodies need cholesterol to function, including the production of sex hormones

Now you see why you have low testosterones ;)

go to a mens health GP and do a hormone profile blood test

clomiphene citrate can help boost testosterone without affecting natural production

JB pharmacy will sell u and deliver to SG. Cheaper than buying in SG
