Hello, did anyone receive a call from a foreign number for the interview/assessment? Or were they all local numbers.

I don't think so la. I finished the assessment on the same day they sent me and I confirm can pass de la.

My take here is that they likely pick the most eligible and more qualified people first (20-30s), with IT background or existing IT experience but trying to switch to another segment and then go down the candidate list.

One can say that the most qualified candidates can take their pick. Ultimately, one person one company.
I'm in 30s, 5 years IT support, suss ICT degree with programming background. TA on the 4th day and 30 mins to complete. No email/call for interview.

So from my assumption, selection criteria are more than work experience & education.

Mayb:
1) Time of completion of TA (Earlier = desperate/sincere for job hop)
2) How much time taken to finish TA (Fastest with highest score)
3) Residential address (nearer to office)
4) If yandao anot? lol

Oh by the way, some1 mention he completed within 10-15mins, did you get the interview?

That's an interesting observation so far.

I'd like to provide my experience for data, if that helps.

Test taken on: 30 Aug (Took around 20-30 minutes)
Invitations received: 1 (Sep 9, Foreign bank, through email)

Age: 29 y.o.
Background: Civil Engineering
Others: No IT background, programming as a hobby on the side

Looks like they will prioritize the eldest first. Are you currently drawing more than $5.5k (inclusive cpf)?

Ok the answer is very clear. Jobless and sectors that got affected by the covid are prioritized. This explains why you got so many interviews. But really hope you can get offer from them. All the best.

EDIT: AND You have IT knowledge

Hopefully the rest of us got our chance too.

Hmmm I'm not sure if it's that clear. I'm also jobless, left my role a year ago. But I only received 1 invite.

I think we can rly only speculate at this point, but the FIs probably have their own selection criteria.

Not really true. Everyone has a chance. Depends what the hiring manager is looking for. Cybersec is very wide domain. Some want ppl who can do audit and risk analyst, some want programming, some want cloud, some want network and so on. Some want ppl who has logical thinking also.

Actually, it depends on the list of candidates being submitted to the banks. If it's in .doc format, and there are 100 applicants, employer will have to open the files 1 by 1 to review. The order depends on the file name

If IBF have a more sophisticated system which allows their clients to filter based on the TA score, age, job status, education, work experience etc, like a database search format, then it really based on the hiring manager preference.

From what i know, there are over 200 applicants that are submitted to FIs. They are the ones that pass IBF assessment.

Speculation aside, one common denominator here is that there are at least two gentlemen here who got interviews in between jobs.

Something interesting. There seems to be no other common links.

Sorry, forgot to add 1 more, you have IT knowledge too. So everything is aligned to their requirements.

What u said is true about different domains. But without calling the individual, how would they know if the candidates possessed the potential/interest to take on the challenge? I'm not sure what you've been asked during the interviews, but i still think that their top priority is still ppl who are in urgent need of a job and badly affected by covid.

I suppose this is exactly what the program is about, career switching. Henceforth, individual have to complete NS or their studies for more than 2 years in order to be eligible for this program.

So for everyone else who are still waiting ( myself included) hope for the best, prepare for the worse.

And to Spinningring big bro, congrats. Hope to be like you with many calls and email from FIs in the upcoming weeks
