ok i probably will get flamed for this

i tested the z5, z5c and z3+

the z5 has this sharper edge because its border is slightly thicker than the body itself. the z1 is the opposite. z5c has a nicer edge although the thickness makes it look stubby

the z5's camera is slightly slower than my z1 and even at iso400 8mp, it is slightly noisy (took pics of the objects beside the booth)

the z3+ fared slightly better, the AF and shutter is slightly faster and less grainy at the same settings.

Looks like bolehland is getting the dual sim variants zzz...
Anyone bought from a Sony centre there before?
I did bought from Sony Centre there many years ago

Cheaper, but if you need warranty you got to bring back to them when have issue.

Mine never had issues though. In fact, none of my sony phones have issues, touch wood.

hi DL or is it LD shushu? :p

i feel like getting the z5p but the 4k screen is quite overkill? maybe get the z5 sua. or even the z3+:s13:

as long as got capless usb port can liao.

i am still using my S3.

i am deciding to switch to z3+ or z5.

both have similar specs but z5 has the fingerprint scanner and extra megapixel which is not significant. of course z3+ is cheaper substantially.

4k screen is definitely an overkill for a small device

Take note that the 4K might be an overkill but it will be turn on when you need it and the extra capacity for the Z5 Premium is definitely a bonus. =:p

As of now, it cant be determined if the higher capacity battery is able to translate to longer battery life, or that it is used to offset the higher resolution screen. Im guessing it would be the latter..

Definitely it will not be as draining as any Samsung Smartphones, Sony is dare to promise 2 days battery life so why I still worry. =:p

This phone camera particularly excels in two areas: exposure and focus. The Z5 regularly produced more accurately exposed photos than its Apple and Samsung rivals in our tests, with excellent white balance, and the addition of 192 focal points lets users swap focus with by tapping anywhere on the screen.

Its start-up and focal speed is also just as impressive as Sony promises — a critical factor to getting the shot.

Can try restart z5 and see does it work?

Happened to my previous sony phone. After restarting it works well for me.

This is just a quick solution though. If the problem persist you might want to bring to sony service center.

Nah, how do you get flamed for all the minor observations.

It is normal to have minor differences, improvement or not.

I think it's an android problem, there are a few solutions here, I'm not sure which one will work for you:

I didn't buy for just the camera...but it played a role in deciding as well.

Thus far camera disappoints. They haven't changed all the way from the Arc S days... pretty sad.

Have been other quirks that i realised too. But that said its still an okay experience altogether.

Now if nexus 6P got telco i might just shoot myself haha

Having used several Xperia models since the Arc S, I think the camera has significantly improved since those days. I compared the photos and the differences are very obvious.
