Really depends on the ringtone you used. I find it loud enough. Even for listening to internet radio, if you increase to 90%, it still sounds loud though it lack bass as compared to the HTC older phones with the Beats Audio boomspeakers.

I find the battery life for z2 better. I'm only able to achieve a sot of around 4hrs max for my usage such as gaming, Whatsapp and chrome

It should varies among user

After 2 weeks of usage, my wife Z5's battery better than her Z2. Z3 is definitely better than Z5 for SOT
