I do believe its the fingerprint sensor causing the issue. Today lunch time, it did not happen and last night I disabled the fingerprint sensor lock in. Somehow the phone survived the lunch trip.

Will monitor the next few days and see if the same issue will happen again.

I will need to enroll my phone to the security system via the company portal then it will be identified as a legitimate phone to be used for communicating with the email server. So it should not be some asshole admin playing tricks on me.

its not the fingerprint sensor specifically.
Basically as long as there is wrong security input, the phone is wiped. so meaning if input of codes or pins is wrong, the phone can be wiped also.

As casshern mentioned above, it's not the fingerprint sensor per se. Just try manually entering your PIN / password wrongly for 4 times consecutively. You'll then see the prompt warning that you have a few more attempts before the phone is wiped.

Not sure what happened at my back pocket. Unless my butt have been trying to authenticate with the phone via the fingerprint sensor. Its still remains a mystery why it can happen.

But after I disabled the fingerprint sensor, I do not face the factory hard reset issue which plagued the phone since Monday.

You disabled the fingerprint. Did you secure it with Pin?

in other news, i took my Z5 into a sauna for about 30 minutes - still working very well.

also, i tried charging the Z5 on a USB3.0 port - seems to be very slow even for USB3.0.

anyone with experience or personal stats charging on USB?

it is quite bulky. I only use the case when I'm at work or outdoors. if I'm just at home or going out shopping or whatever, I stick to just the phone and front+black tampered Glass. feels and looks more sexy

USB3.0 is about data transfer speed, not charging speed. :s22:

What about comparing spigen ultra hybrid with Rearth Ringke Fusion? Similar type of casing but I wonder which one is 'slimmer, thinner and lighter'?

sigh i still don't know why i'm having battery issues - thought its solved already.

anyone put it on stamina mode when you sleep? or turn off mobile and LTE? will connecting to wifi drain the battery?

for me i turn on mobile, lte, wifi, location and cell standby drains about 15% from 100%. is that normal? or do you keep your z5 plugged into the AC?

not sure if i'm having overly high expectations but the battery life seems worse than my iphone 5! lol

15% overnight doesn't seems normal, though you have many settings turn on

Do you have many apps running in the background, that constantly required phone to keep running?

For example email that keep sync to server?
