It's not about cheaper or not. Its about whether your eyes are healthy on the day u collect your lenses or not. After the trial they will need to assess the lens fitting again after wearing for a few days. So it doesn't mean that if you feel good with the trail, the lens is suitable. It is totally wrong to think that way

Of course. They have been doing it for more than 20 years. Ngee Ann is less than 5 years

Hi all,

I went to NPOC and was diagnosed with cornea staining. They ask me to visit an eye doctor as there is no improvement after a week.
Anybody has any experience with this? How long does it take to recover and what are the cost?

My eyes looks perfectly fine now though :<

You can't see it. That's why there are optometrists. We see the staining with the microscope. Go back and review with them.GPs won't know what's that either because they don't look at the cornea with the microscop . In Australia, we will prescribe antibiotics for preventive measures in severe cornea stainings.

It takes approx 1 day for superficial stainings to go away. 1 week for deep stainings to go away. There are also recurrent stainings due to other causes

Thanks Warhunter :)

Went to see an eye specialist and got prescribed with strong eye-drops. Dr says it will recover in a week! Luckily it isnt anything serious.

Doctors in Singapore will usually overkill with their eyedrops prescriptio . So unethical and irresponsible. Cos staining is not an infection. No need strong antibiotic .
