Got so bad? Check out what this guy has to say. Weight wise, should be close to DJI Spark. Does it mean that DJI Spark is deemed as too light also? As for gimbal, he is saying that there is EIS which also serve the same purpose. But have yet to see EIS on the specification. Lack of GPS but it comes with VIO.
A few misconceptions have crept into the comments section so let me redress the balance a bit. For the record I am not, in any way, affiliated with High Great (I wish I was!) but I am a long term user and fan of the ZeroTech Dobby which is a similar drone and my comments are based on that experience.
1. Weight - The Mark weighs less than 250gms which is IMO of huge significance. You can take the Mark on holdiay anywhere, with the DJI Spark you will (or will shortly) have to regiester almost everywhere.
2. Gimbal - You don't need a gimbal and it is one of the compromises that has to be made for the light weight. Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) is perfectly adequate, just check out any of the videos taken using the Dobby.
3. 16GB memory - 16GB is more than enough in my experience. The Dobby has 9Gb and I have never used more than a tenth of that during a day.
4. GPS/VIO - VIO is, as yet, unproven technology but should work. Assuming it does it will remove the need for GPS and compass which will mean no more compass errors, compass calibration, loss of GPS signal etc all of which will lead to a far more comfortable flying experience.
5. Changes to hardware specs - Forget it. The Mark is ready for mass production, trying to make any hardware changes at this stage will only lead to delays, cost overruns and frustrations. Trust me, I backed the Zano and know what I'm talking about!
6. Support - High Great is an existing, established company with at least one quadcopter already in production. There is no reason to suppose that support will not be forthcoming although probably not to the same level as DJI (whose drones are considerably more expensive).
7. Range - The current limits, especially the 30m height restriction, are ridiculous but at least they are limits set in software and can be easily changed.
