Hello, what drone would you people suggest for a beginner? For a small budget, as I don't want to invest to much money in this hobby for startint up.

Very first drone?

any drones <S$100 are not working that well... My suggestion:

if around S$100 budget, get a Tello. Tello is fun, gives good outdoor selfie photos. Control and behavior of larger aerial photography drones like Spark/Mavic or Fimi X8 are the same as Tello. Note that Tello is brushed motor, fixed camera tilt angle, has video drop frames and cannot handle windy condition hor! Flying height is only about 3-5m for Tello.

if around S$200 budget, get a Zerotech Dobby from Amazon. This drone has good 1080p video stabilizing, and allows manual tilting of camera. Dobby has brushless motor+GPS and could fly to 30m height easily.
Note that this is a 2 year old product, so a new-in-box Dobby you ordered might be already 2year old stock arriving with a dead battery. Dobby has some jello, and shorter flight time.

after the first drone, you can get a powerful one like
- a Spark/Mavic, or Fimi X8 if you wants photography or exploration drones.
- or, DIY assemble your racer drone

Have fun flying your first drone this X'mas!!... ;)

check here, only parks not listed in both CAAS or NPB then could fly there:

CAAS no-fly-zones...
https://www.caas.gov.sg/public-passengers/unmanned-aircraft-systems/area-limits

NPB no-fly-parks
https://www.nparks.gov.sg/gardens-parks-and-nature/dos-and-donts/parks-with-no-flying-signs

tomorrow, i'm going to fly at west coast park, anybody wanna join me?... :s8:

if you are staying at east side, for e.g. tampines, pasir ris, go east coast park if you drive, or go kallang riverside park if you take mrt.

dji drones (spark, mavic, phantom) will refuse to take off near airport. Drone firmware will ground by itself.

i think i should get a Tello and play around first, seems like a lot of seller in carousell.

whole pasir ris park under caas no-fly-zone.
go get a tello better. use tello to train yourself inside your home first. control of mavic air is the same as tello... :D

Hi all
Had you purchase any drone from online platform banggood or gearbest? Any issues you had encounter if you had bought from them previously?

Thanks
