Seem like Mavic mini is very basic set without front or rear sensor, just the bottom camera.
Saw one you tuber saying that based on weight calculation which seem very logical as battery weight itself is already about 100 plus gram, leaving less than than 149 grams for the main body, motor/propellers and electronics.
If true, then Mavic Air price may not drop that much.

don't know, i guess it still has the front obstacle sensor. The 2 holes at the front.

this video says NT$15000 (S$670) for Mavic Mini Fly More? NT$12000 (S$535) for basic drone? That guy sounds more like a Taiwanese. Even selling at same price as Mavic Air, I will buy a Mavic Mini than a Mavic Air. I like the 30min flight time.

That 30min flight time is impressive. If I go assemble a 250g DIY drone with same 7.4V 2S 2400maH battery, I will need 6-7" prop. The Mavic Mini inside the video seems to be only 5" prop.

Anyways, where do you guys fly your drone in Singapore? I usually go to Marina barrage carpark area to fly, the open field beside it.

we are flying everywhere as long as not under no-fly-zone. do you want to fly together? we are short of kaki... :D

DJI store already out of stock

Mavic Mini needs IMDA approval? for s'pore market may be some delays if IMDA testing needed.

Anyone manage to pre order?

there are sellers on taobao and on Carousell now

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It seems like there are 2 versions, FCC version 4km/5.8GHz and CE version 2km/2.4GHz. Better if could get the FCC version.
Mavic Mini's thrust/weight ratio is <2, same as spark (1.9). My spark is having difficulties to fly under strong wind at east coast park, so i guess Mavic Mini will have same problem. The other Mavic are 2.5 so not much problems.
someone torturing Mavic Mini on youtube.
Hi, I have a question on finding places to practice flying drone. I'm tempted to get the Mavic Mini when it is available later this month, but I live within 5 km of a aerodome in Hougang.
Besides going out to the drone friendly area to practice, what are my options? Practice at home? Any trouble if I fly in condo's basement parking garage? No guards in the evening.
Thanks!
FYI FAQ: I would like to fly my unmanned aircraft indoors. Do I require any permits?
Permits are not required for unmanned aircraft operations indoors only in the following circumstances:
- At a private residence; or
- At an experimental site in connection with the construction or testing of that unmanned aircraft
For use of unmanned aircraft indoors for any other purpose (e.g. in the course of business), you will be required to apply for an unmanned aircraft Operator Permit and Activity Permit before carrying out the activity.
