Actually most people's choice are either Android or Apple, or at least they would already set their minds on which phone to get before that. Dun really think it's going to affect much for one to launch slightly earlier. i.e if you really want the iPhone 8, you are not going to get the Note 8 just because it is launching a mth or two earlier.

They are after those on the fence, the no-idea-wtf-is-going-on types but just want a nice screen to consume media, convince them enough at the retail side, they will buy into it first. So without a new iPhone present, they have a higher chance.

Why is your camera hole looks like for S8+? not the rectangular one?

Think maybe just the plastic packaging? Maybe on the case itself is a long rectangle.

I use S Pen extensively for work and personal usage

So no matter what Galaxy S series, iPhone series, One Plus series, Xiaomi series, Xperia series, etc, all i don't care.

Only buy Note series, even if the price is chop carrot head.



If you don't use S Pen, then can consider other brands if the price of Note8 is too much to handle (but then, iPhone also costs around the same range too....)

We are along in the privileged groups when come to Samsung flagship products launch for many years already for first wave list of countries, same as Apple we are among the first in SEA countries. When come to Samsung software update we are among the last though.

They will need to get Note8 into Singapore in the first wave in September as new iPhone will go on sale by end of September. I don't think Samsung will want to risk and wait and let Apple take all the sales. Last year they rush the Note7 and we will know what happen just because they want to beat Apple in launch time, thankful they recover very well.

Not sure leh... no official word from Samsung that we're in the first wave right?

i have seen many uncles and aunties doesn't even know there is a s-pen in their note series phone lol.

Some people used to buy cos Note always has better specs than the S series on top of the S-Pen. Now like only S-Pen yet so much more ex lol.

Now i pull out to cut screenshot lol. I don't use it much but i'm waiting for an app that will come to Android soon which i figure i'll be using the S-Pen a lot cos of it so quite excited.

Same. I do pull out the pen to play play, but not really that I have a need to use it

Singapore market too small for Samsung to even care unfortunately.

Read that it's same as s8 plus just that it has an additional pen.

No lah it's because the Galaxy Note used to be the icon of big screen phones and uncle aunties love big screen phones because can let them see better

But now there's many phones with 5.5" display liao so more choices for them but some still like the Note

Still say wanna take own sweet time to make sure QC no problem.

In the end Aug keynote and before early to mid sept release.

Those who kena note 7 saga and still buy this on day one release u are truly Samsung fan boy supporter.
