hey, thanks for the information. Anyway, I just found out recently that my bag is staining my pants due to the tan

That's why the manufacturer is recommending me to use neatsfoot oil.

However, I'd like to ask the experts here if there's an alternate solution to my problem, or do I need additional products to "seal" the tan other than neatsfoot oil, which is primarily used to maintain the leather.

You might want to show us a picture of your bag since tanned leather would not have their dye/finishing run/stain on to other materials it comes in contact with...

I've always been a fan of hand-made and leather goods. It's time we do something, and go back down to traditional hand-crafting.
We're starting up a Facebook page on Handicrafts Bazaar regardless of country. So far, i have not found one that exist yet on Facebook so I'm inviting all individuals that share the same interest or would like to showcase/sell or trade hand-made items on our page. =)

Paper craft, leather craft, woodwork , weaving , carvings designs etc, are all welcomed.

And also, feel free to Invite more friends to join! Let us all share and open the creative interests in you!!! =)

Singapore actually has one of the reputable reptile skin tannery. Heng Long. I don't know if they sell their alligator skin though. Try contacting them info[at]henglong.com

If you're looking for bovine, there's Malayan Traders in Geylang/Aljunied or Grand Leather near Paya Lebar. Singapore Shoe has stock of fanciful leather scraps in A4 size.

I buy from Ivan and in-di-an in taipei and another store (can't remember the name) in Kaoshiung. Have posted the links before. I also buy from HK and Beijing (dongcheng area). Sometimes I'll buy from the US of A.
