Im heading to China again. Will be back first week of June.

If anyone wants to get tools or stuff, pm me. Will charge a slight service fee (mainly for baggage). Fee will depend om items bought. If just buying stuff like pens, eraser, there wont't be any fee. But for heavier items like mallet, punches, dyes, will charage a slight fee for weight.

Collection at a condo near the Tanglin Mall during weekdays. Bukit Merah, Alexandra, Vivo area on weekends.

Anyone know where i can get the following
1) Hole Punch (Just one piece not a set!)
2) Needle (Can use the normal needle?)
3) Thread (Its better to use linen thread?)

Can i get the trio at spotlight or anywhere else locally?

1) What kind of hole punch? Chisel you mean?
2) What is normal needle? Needle for sewing machine or hand sewing needle? Both cannot cos it's sharp. It may pierce the hide (accidentally) while sewing. Leather does not cure like cotton.
3) Waxed linen, nylon, polyester yarn.

Spotlight, Chinatown/People Park do not sell. Daiso has the hole punch (for belts) and not the chisel. Leather supply shop in SG has the tools for sales but really marked up too high (for me).

Hey guys,

Been following the thread but I dont recall coming across this. Is there anyone in Sg doing simple belt commissions?

I prefer my accessories to exclude a raw feel, a thick full grain piece (method of tannage depends), unstitched with very minimal edge dressing, buffed and exposed flesh side and simple nickle/brass buckles. But am looking at more dressy colours like Oxblood/Burgundy, Navy etc than the usual Oak brown, Light Veg Tan offerings.

Cheers!
Not local, but sounds like Equus leather will work well for you.

1) leather chisel. Managed to grab off amazon instead. Should be cheaper than local.
2) Leather hand sewing needle? Anywhere to buy locally?
3) Waxed linen or nylon sold anywhere?

Googled spotlight seemed to have (2) and (3) but spotlight is probably alot more expensive.

Dear leather crafters. I currently have partnerships with Vergez Blanchard and Sajou threads. ( I.e fil au chinois Lin cable etc) and have been bringing them in for quite a number of folks. My prices are much better than the usual US retailers such as rmsupply and fineleatherworking. Do check out my profile on Instagram for tools and leather works http://Instagram.com/hei.crafted/ for all interests, please drop an email to hei.crafted@gmail.com

Thanks !
