I learn from trail and error and videos from YouTube and where ever I can find tutorials. If I'm not wrong they'll prolly teach u saddle stitch which is actually pretty simple. The more u stitch the neater u get, they might give u pointers.

Uhm, I wouldn't be surprised if you are right. Now you're making me wonder if I should go for it. I just basically wanna make some holders for my tools, portable charger, etc. It's very troublesome for me to have to shift a ton of stuff whenever I need to change bags.

Can I get a rough estimate on how much you spent before being able to make the spec case? tools, material and all? Sorry for being such a bother!

Hey bro how much is the leather there isit full grain veg tanned?
Btw you'll need
-diamond hole punches(get from joesu88 price reasonable or get online)
-an awl (not sure where to buy but it's cheap)
-cutters (recommend u buy a good penknife from any hardware store)
-metal ruler
-Waxed treads polyester ones or whatever they have
- needles(for leather if possible they are slightly different with a triangular head)
- leather
-cutting board(hardwarestore)
-and some kind of hard board

You can actually get most of the things from (Grand Leather Enterprise) but to be honest their tools aren't cheap.

Any comments? This is a natural vegetable tanned wallet I made for my friend. Carved and tooled his initials, first time trying tooling.

Hey thanks for commenting. Yea new to treading will continue to work on it:) I did burnish the edges but I used water instead of gum and the results aren't very ideal!

Some of your stitches, some loose, some quite loose.....no consistency. U see some stitches 'popping up'?

Yea lo I think sometimes I never tighten properly and my treads will get stuck one. Does the tread matter cos some no matter what I do the tread also look like it's popping up

SBL front pocket bag

SBL classic bag

Hi guys. I'm thinking of getting a bag and have narrowed down my selection to these 3. I'm having a hard time deciding which one to get. And I'm unable to get both due to budget constraint.

Would appreciate it if you guys could share your thoughts on which is the nicest looking out of all and also which would you get personally.

Many thanks!
