I am in midst of setting up a forum just for SG Nerf discussion. Wonder if it will be useful?

had asked the dept stores to conduct demo or have shooting gallerys style promos to promote NERF in my initial email to them.
you guys should contact them and offer your services (for a price) to conduct demo with your modded and painted Nerfs. maybe even conduct live skirmish at Taka open area or compass point 1st level floor space. go and rehearse first ok, maybe do a local video at void deck or playground as audition tape vid. if you dont want the cash just asked to be paid in NERF products.

I actually agree, a dedicated Singapore Nerf Forum will definitely be good to setup now.

I started this dedicated nerf thread on HWZ initially for the purpose of just sharing local nerf stock avaliability info, but with the huge growth of nerf enthusiasts over the past few months, there are now a mix of product awareness, modification, paintwork and WTS posts all jumbled up together in this one single thread, which can sometimes make it quite confusing to follow.

Alot of valuable information is actually stuck deep amongst the past 60+ pages, and it can take a long time to sift through all the posts. Thats why we keep having new nerfers asking the same questions all the time!

Therefore a dedicated Singapore Nerf Forum will really help organise threads and posts. Forum data procesing would also be much faster, we all know how jammed up HWZ can get during peak hours.

Perhaps you can put in the following forum sections:

- General Discussion
- Modifications
- Paintworks
- Trading Post

Once its ready, just inform us and we can resume our discussions over there.

very nice idea. i'm all for it.

but we are using modded blasters when the blasters clearly state not to modify them. will we be getting into any red tape? and we must make it look epic to work. a bunch of 10 kids and big kids running around will not really work

yeah sounds good too. but then again, how many members will actually stick around?

if we do manage to do our massive nerf taka war thing, there will be an initial spike of demand. people will start getting into nerf. we need proper structure, to organise meetups, wars etc. so i suggest we take the forum idea one step up. become something of a club, with the objective of promoting nerf in singapore or sth like that. that will actually legitimise us (more power to bring in stuff, and generally do nerf stuff tgt), and give us a better idea of the nerfing community in sg.

Most console game shops should have it on display by now. I also recently got the Nerf N-Strike Game Bundle pack from Sim Lim Sq, comes with the Switch Shot EX-3 blaster and Wii Nerf game, cost $84.90.

There is also another box that just has the Switch Shot EX-3 blaster only, its an expansion pack to add more players to the Wii Nerf game, iirc its around $24.90.

The Wii Nerf game is so-so, if compared to games like Halo or Gears of War, i'd say this nerf game is probably more suitable for kids. Seasoned gamers would find it abit too cartoonish. Alot of new blaster design concepts shown in the game though... and some of them are rumoured to be upcoming new nerf blasters for 2009.

Let me share the story of my 1 day old vulcan.

It was fun after I opened it from my box. It was like holding a newborn baby in my arms. 2 hours later, the cocking mechanism jammed, it could not be fired automatically nor manually. It was pronouced dead today at 11am after I failed to open it up.

Farewell Vulcan, it was good to have owned you and made everyone around me awestrucked T_T
