still looking for a RF 20....looks and shoots damn cool.

Anyway, wad side arm would be recommended, to compliment a Longshot?
looking for something mid mid range and a good load of bullets.

Maverick?

also, i am looking at longshot refill clips; being sold at USD$30+ for 3? is there anywhere with a better deal?

one last question: been seeing alot of talk on the Tech target. Being a single shot, why is it being revered as a good side arm?

i think the maverick should be good

still new to NERF. but having my long shot (and loving it), is there really a need to splurge on a Recon?

it works like a longshot (clip loaded)?? how many shots can we get frm a clip of recon?

I definately be getting the Vulcan and the maverick. to compliment the Longshot. But a recon?
Recon cant be considered as a side arm any more can it?

ah... got no time to spray my nerf... thinking of selling them...

Longshot LS-6(modded): fixed price S$50
-removed AR for the main gun,
-made AR holes bigger for the detachable shotgun,
-removed the chamber guider[the little stick that hangs over the magazine when the breech is opened(supposedly to allow the firing of all nerf darts, but somehow it doesn't work), now longshot tends to jam, need extreme care when loading darts into magazine and also cocking of the gun]

Maverick(modded): fixed price S$15
-removed ARs,
-remove cylinder stoppers[cylinder can be pushed out to exposed all 6 chambers for reloading]

interested parties please pm me

so now wat do you think i should get vulcan or rapidfire 20?

Take my advice... get a Vulcan! :D

After today's discovery of local stock avaliability, the Nerf Vulcan has now become the primary blaster amongst all my colleagues in our office nerf games (a few of them actually rushed down to Taka this evening to buy more vulcans!).

With the Vulcan's fully automatic firepower and ease of swapping ammo belts, you'll be able to maintain suppressive fire to cover your team mate's advance and execute proper team tactics during games.

RF20s and MagStrikes are the perfect sidearms, ideal for clearing rooms quickly or finishing off opponents during close-quarter skirmish.

A few of us still do carry a Maverick (or two) for "stylo-milo" points, but its usually only used in desperate situations (ie. when cornered and totally out of ammo!).

Just few months ago, i paid alot more money just to ship over Nerf Vulcans from the states, yet now everyone can easily buy them at just S$79.90 promo price at Taka...

Honestly, i don't know what you guys are waiting for! :)

Yes, the Recon is actually a compact "tactical" version of the Longshot. Both have the same load/reload and firing mechanism, use the same 6-dart magazines and tactical attachments. Even the barrels from both blasters can be swapped with each other!

The main feature of a Recon is its modular design, you can swap parts around to customise the blaster.

Since the Nerf Recon is back in stock and more people are now curious about it, i'll post up a review soon. :)

My colleagues mentioned they bought a total of 5 Vulcan boxes altogether, so if i count back there should still be around 6-7 boxes left on display. Since today is the first day the Vulcans are in stock (i saw the hasbro guys unpacking the delivery boxes), its possible there could be more stock in their store room.

But to avoid risking it, i think its best to get your Vulcans by friday evening. We all know how crazy that place can get once the weekend starts! :D

Yup, everyone's effort in bombarding the Stores and Hasbro with nerf blaster requests over the past few months seems to have helped accelerate their ordering process. :D

Now our next request to Hasbro is to bring in the new MagStrikes and Rapid Fire 20s (both new versions in the latest yellow/black N-Strike design), then the local nerf blaster range will be complete! :)

Thanks for the update ernanist!

My friend also just informed me that he went to Takashimaya today to get his nerf vulcans and they now offer an additional 10% discount for Takashimaya credit card holders. Therefore, combined with the 20% discount promo, the total discount is 30%!!! That means the Nerf Vulcans could now cost just S$69.90 each until this weekend! :D

The interesting part is, although my friend doesn't have a Takashimaya card, he still managed to buy his vulcans at 30% off... How? Well, he just stood next to the cashier counter and asked everyone who queued there whether they had a Takashimaya card, eventually he found someone who did, so he paid just $69.90 for each of his Vulcans.

I guess if any of you are actually "thick-skinned" enough to do that and are lucky, it could be worth a try! :s13:

Btw, the additional discounts apply to all of the Nerf blasters on display (ie. Longshots, Recons, Mavericks etc), so its a good opportunity to get your nerf stuff from there this weekend too.
