It's been 11 days since I've ordered from the site itself, should I be worried?
Who cares?HN from Oz, isn't it?
Battery life : S4 processor, rather battery efficient compared to any other processor out there now. Battery is 2100mah, my current gnex is only 1750mah, so there's improvements there. Also you've got a Nexus phone, the next major software update for the Nexus line is probably gonna be about Project Roadrunner.
The successor to Project Butter (UI Smoothness hence butter), Roadrunner will focus on improving battery life but not much else is known about it. (Quoted from online source)
Storage space: PRAY the god damn telcos be smart and bring in the 16gb version. We gnex users have been surviving on 16gb, and i for one have been coping well enough. If you really wanna watch shows or what not, just get a Nexus 10
LTE: Yeah.. No LTE, a bit suck, but think on the other hand, do you guys have any idea how much of a battery drainer LTE really is? I've friends with iPhone 5's proudly showing off, but when i ask them how is 4G, they can only say they switch 4G off as the battery just drains like crazy. IMO, Google saved both our asses by not including 4G. At least there's DC-HSPA, which currently only Starhub supports, hopefully M1 and Singtel will support it as well, which i feel they will.
On the other hand, if you're looking to import this and you're still on a 12GB data plan like i am, you can continue enjoying your 12GB and not have to suffer 2GB of data.
Software: Google provides software updates, ANYWAY, it's a nexus phone, if you aren't rooting it the day you get it, you probably shouldn't even get this phone, just go get a S3/Note/OneX.
Sorry about my rather long rant, i'm just sick and tired of people complaining of battery, storage, LTE and how much Android has already been fragmented.
If you guys have time on your hands, go read up or at least think about why Android is fragmented.
Apple only has ONE phone, there's obviously Little to Zero fragmentation involved as all their god damn phones look the same.
Android is a software, Open-sourced as it is, Samsung, HTC, LG, Motorola etc. used their own iteration of Android and designed their software. So don't go complaining about your phone still being on Gingerbread, that LG sucks, that Samsung sucks, that HTC sucks.
Sometimes when i'm walking around Singapore, i see tons of people with Android phones, and i wonder, are they rooted? are they truly enjoying the capabilities of Android?
And to those who say that the Nexus 4 looks like the iPhone, honestly..... Just go get a iPhone then.
Just my two cents, as I for one am truly hoping that this turns out to be a great phone, i hate the 3G reception on my Galaxy Nexus and i blame it on Samsung for creating crappy radios, same experience on my previous Galaxy S2.
Oh and have i mentioned this.. THE NEXUS 4 HAS SUCH A GORGEOUS LOOKING BACK
