Flash kernel same as flash full custom roms. U can flash custom roms, u got the prerequisites to flash kernels.

Some people will swear by different kernels. I just pick the one that seems most popular, friendly dev to me and stick to it. So franco for me. :D

Thanks. Haven't touched the Nexus yet, but played with my previous phones. What's the procedure like for the N4?

Either hold the power button for 1 to 2 seconds and select the silent icon.
or hold the lower volume button.
it will bring it to silent mode... this is there since the first android version. so nothing to do with versions =)

but i hold lower volumn down will turn to vibrare le. how to be silent? from power button can already.

Thinking this was manufacturer by LG and not Samsung. Not sure the quality on LG as not using LG phone before. Any comment ? Thanks

one thing I don't like is how weak the vibration of lg is compare to Samsung hardware. l'm not really a fan of amoled screen so display of lg screen is more to my preference.

Just to emphasize, those with data connection issues and are on StarHub, go flash the 0.27 baseband. What happens in 0.33 and 0.48 is that the phone will switch from hsdpa8 to hsdpa15 before data transfer starts. This causes a lag. 0.27 on other hand commence data transfer even at hsdpa8.

Let me see if there is significant difference in batt consumption

I flashed and tested .33, .48 and .27 radios and here are my results according to Speedtest's app. (Average score determined from 3 results)

Telco: Starhub

.33 Results
D/L: 11mbps U/L: 0.38mbps

.48 Results
D/L: 5.3mbps U/L: 0.38mbps

.27 Results
D/L: 8.6mbps U/L: 0.38mbps

Then again, this is all tested in the same location while sitting down.

Hi I am a noob. I can't search the whole threads so forgive me if the questions have been asked before. The nexus 4 is using micro sim? How do you all buy from the play store? I go to the website and click shop now and they say the product is not available in SG. And where do you all get the nexus 4 casings from? Sorry I'm noob. Your replies would be most appreciated.
