Different radios suit different areas & telcos. Flash all and check which one's most suited for you.
Check under settings. the lower the dbm, the better the reception.

Isn't it one size fit all radio, version increments are because of android updates, no?

This may be wols but nonetheless +1

I also faced poor 3g speed and sometimes even no service.
So i googled and stumbled upon a website that states that there is a cell radio bug for nexus 4 on 4.3.

So, one can try this to reduce the problem.

Type *#*#4636#*#*
Then go to phone info
Then Under network type, change from WCDMA preferred to WCDMA only

It works for me.

3G speed is really depend on the location and operator, when I was in the City Hall MRT area, my N4 speedtest show download speed as 16 Mbps (i think it is DC HSDPA), Singtel. Stock ROM, no radio change.

Setting from WCDMA preferred to WCDMA only, is to force the phone only connect to 3G networks. There is no failback to 2G connection if there are no 3G coverage.

Anybody notice their LED notification sometimes not working?
I run 3rd party software: Light Manager to flash different LED color for miss call, sms, line, whatsup, and calendar. Sometimes, one of the notification for the particular app suddenly didn't work.
I reboot the phone, then it works again. Strange.

Oh

I set that because i have trouble getting even the basic 3G connection most of the time, before i did the switch! :D

the speed was so damn slow and sometimes, really is "no service"

HSDPA is the "H" symbol on the phone??

I am not familiar with the technical terms here, :s13:

I am on Starhub btw...very bad reception.

Wow! That's fast! Are you on Singtel postpaid? I'm on prepaid and I only get up to 2 mbps here in the office (near NUS/Science Park 2).
