I also experienced this before. When I first got the phone, i charged it up to full and turned it off.
but didn't use it coz no screen protector or case. Left it at home.
Came home and powered it back up and find that the power has reduced by like 25% or so.

but anyway, after I changed to N4 as my main, I never turned it off. So it never bothered me. I'm getting 1 day plus usage without charging. so not a concern.

i would agree with those points except for the rooting. obviously i haven't try it as i'm new to android, but based on what i've read so far, i find no reason to do it. baring hardware tweaks (which i feel already blazing fast) i can customised almost everything i want.

agree with this. if there's no real need to root, then dont do it.

if you really intend to root, then make sure you know what you are getting into and read everything you can about rooting....xda forums, youtube, articles, etc.

i rooted mine after weeks and weeks of reading and researching. i did it because i wanted to install apps like fauxclock and adfree.

i was silly enough to root the phone after using the phone for an extended period. everything was wiped and i had to painstakingly set up everything again.

To those who need extra sim ejector, you can do this


In the end I made my own sim tray ejector.

Items needed
1 x iPhone sim ejector
1 x small piece of abrasive paper

Just file the sim ejector tip on the paper on all direction to ensure that it is "round".

Test to ensure that the tip fits in the nexus 4 hole.

This self made ejector is easier to use than the original provided by LG.

I'm running the franko-r53 kernel and I'm definitely seeing battery improvements. Is it just me?

use a custom kernel but then again it could be problem on starhub side. Don't have any problems with m1
