- Actually, Weiyang might be the right person to answer this question since he already got his new set and his old set was sent to US already. He might have better experience.
- Mine was power button not function very well.
- I just claim the warranty yesterday and now waiting for the RMA instruction Email from them.

So LG USA do send direct to Singapore address?
No, we used US address to buy nexus device from google. So they will deliver the RMA nexus to that address. From there, you may use either CGW or your choice of delivery mode to singapore.

When Google send you a replacement set tru LG USA, it will deduct tru your credit card. Till you send back the faulty, they will refund back to you, right?
Google will deduct and hold that particular amount from your assigned credit card until the old/damaged nexus was sent/reached to them.

Thus, RMA of set is carry out by LG USA, since google dun send to Singapore. Am I right?
Yes. We dealt directly with Google US.

Update: I helped you check with Google, these power button faulty are covered under warranty as long as the phone is still under warranty and is not due to third-party DIY repair mistakes. Google expects any wear and tear defects including scratches on the phone.

call Google Nexus support hotline. i've detailed some information in the thread above that should help you with the RMA. whether it's under warranty, i'm not sure. However after you sent in the phone, at most you will only be chargeable for the parts that are faulty. You will only need to send back the phone after you receive the new phone and are expected to send back the phone within 21 days. The slowest singpost service took only 6-8 days for my phone to arrive back at LG Electronics.

Don't forget to provide the singpost tracking numbers to Google soonest. If the shipping has been lost or delay, there will be no additional charges.

Here are some additional info that you will need,

Yes it's in US already. Cheers.

See the image here on how to pack the RMA label and shipping label.

Follow the RMA return instructions on the website.

The shipping label is not required since you are mailing it from Singapore, I packed the whole box inside my separate bubble wrap. I still pasted it on the original delivery box provided by LG.

Hi Brother,
How do we inform cgw the phone is return from RMA? Cause cgw very particular on gst, do we need to show any proof tat it a RMA item not new.

Thanks alot.

Bro, wanna ask u ar..do we need to register our warranty so that we will be eligible to claim for RMA?thanks

No need. They will based it on the date it was received at your US mailing address.

Hi has your faulty phone reached US? How long will they hold the payment for the phone upon reaching US.

Yes. It took 6-8 days to arrive. Don't worry about tracking status, USPS is rather slow in updating tracking status. You can call up Google to get the latest update. Also, they have refunded my money as soon as they received it.

Officially 14 days after LG received the faulty phone, they should refund you the full amount unless your phone has been rigged.

Inform CGW that it is a returned product or you can self-declare your GST. Produce your RMA merchant copy to them.

The RMA item is brand new actually. :s13:

I hope I have replied all threads.

When they refunded your money, was there any exchange rate difference? Haha.

They hold and refund in USD, so will have exchange rate difference, usually about a few dollars +/- depending on the exchange rate.

gotta be quite lucky then to earn some from the difference to cover the costs.
haha.

RMA must be done the buyer aka your seller. Give your seller a call if he can help u rma, but u gotten to pay for shipping plus interest due google will hold $ on his crefit card.

No difference. It was a full refund. It's unlike conventional transaction where the money has successfully been credited to the seller. This process is entirely different where the amount is only placed on hold for a period of time before deduction occurs.

No need to do so. RMA can be done by anybody who holds the phone. All you need is to furnish a new credit card number and US mailing address during service support.

oh but he is no in sg anymore... damrn.

Don't worry. see above.

Hi guys, just a question. Do we need to revert back to stock before sending it back to Google?

Better to do so, or else later they blame whatever problems on your rooted phone.
But some people have managed to RMA without stock though.

Just another quick question. I've been wondering if it's just my phone or it's normal. Whenever I answer a call, the caller's voice sounds extremely sharp as if I had the volume maxed. Is this normal or is this something that I should RMA it for? I've been using this phone for 6 months now and this has been from the start.
