Those having problem connecting VPN through JP Playstore. I'm using this VPN Softether VPN Client Manager. Just select the JAPAN location and auto going to connect. Open the browser then go to URL for Google PlayStore you're already on JP itself. Then start ordering now.

My advice don't use the Vshop4u because it's like concierge they wouldn't allow to connect to the JP Playstore unless they going to connect through VPN. That's my thought only it's like buying your item in behalf of you. Just put a little effort though. You are already there.

Yeah thats the problem. I don't know whether they have someone in Japan to "shop" on my behalf. If they are doing it from Singapore they won't be able to even access that url.

Anyway I have specified in my comments that the website can only be accessed from Japan and asked them for a quote. Waiting to see if they can actually provide me with a quote.

I ordered mine from US Play Store on 1 Nov 10am and till now no shipping confirmation. Status is still shown as pending, card not charged yet..

I mentioned earlier in the thread: For myself apparently my Google Wallet account is under review, that's why until now my order still show as pre-ordered/pending.

I actually called them up about it, a second time at 2am today. They'll get an account specialist to email back to me asap.

Sian, hopefully they still reserve my nexus :'(

vpost is in this business long enough, by right 'should' have people in Japan office able to help if it requires JP IP, or they 'should' also have VPN resources... u can specify in comments require japan IP then can order..

depends on luck also.. think their servers randomly/delayed sending of confirmation also.. sometimes have, sometimes no.. but usually shd get shipment email even if no confirmation email.. anyway ur order page is good enough.. at any time you can revisit your order page (without the need to login VPN )

If it's straight from Google and not a carrier it should be SIM-unlocked.

I don't remember any phones being sold by Google's Play Store being carrier locked. There's no reason for them to lock it to any carriers? It's not being discounted by any carriers whatsoever, so why would it come sim-locked?

Sigh I really feel like strangling Google at this point in time. I should be happy knowing that my Nexus 5 is being shipped to an address in the US but for some reason they choose to review my Google Wallet account NOW of all times.

Call them two times also cannot resolve it still. Must wait for them to get back to me via EMAIL.
