what if you root and put a custom rom?
will that reset whatever restrictions they had in place?

the lock is placed on the google account, not the phone. So basically, just use the google account u are currently using now when you get ur phone. NOT the one you used to order the phone.

Hey guys, anybody's order who is from batch 2 (5 Nov flight and arrival) still has their orders stuck at Haneda customs? Mine has been stuck there since arrival at 2PM

ChinHan, mine i also the same. still no further updates other than the fact that it has reached Haneda. Man... This is why i hate the waiting game. Can't even focus on work. haha. just keep refreshing that page

They usually ship earlier than that. Just order, if by 13 haven't ship can just cancel

Anyone successfully ordered using POSB Debit mastercard? I just received mail from Google saying my order has been cancelled as they were unable to verify the order details.

Would it work if i re-order using the same details, or should I try a different bank/card?

Try different bank.. my dbs card also same thing happened. I reordered using that account with another card, went through very quickly
