Waaa.. Pro.. Me nexus 4 never root before and now nexus 5 first day root via CD root le.. :D can I ask a few question.. What is the efs backup for..? And I am interested to flash the faux kernel, but is it if u just flash it u will not have controls to it unless u buy the faux123 app..?

This is a very sensitive system folder that contains Phone-specific information such as the IMEI (encrypted in the nv_data.bin), wireless devices MAC addresses, product code (also in the nv_data.bin), and much more. Often users trying to change product codes or trying to unlock the mobile will end up corrupting data in this location.

i not pro here.. pro people are those developers :D

I never flashed Faux kernel, but yeah i think you will not have controls unless you buy the faux123 app. However i read that theres some 3rd party app that might be able to do the same, just that it does not has support from the developer.

I'm using Franco at the moment, and even though i download the free version of the Franco Kernel Updater, it lists my device as not supported, so i'm just using it with the default settings.. for now. :s12:

Anyone who ordered using tenso received ur GST payment notice yet? I received mine on monday. Still haven't receive anything.

No GST? Oversight by customs? If that is the case then the Jap version is cheaper than the US.

I read somewhere in the forum that a GST invoice will be sent separately if it is not collected directly. Anybody experienced this before? I didn't.

by the way, those who are using the US set, can I check with you whether it reflects 3G here in SG, or EDGE ("E"), or 2G ("G") only? cos I might prefer a US set as a backup phone instead...

yup by autoprime.
bo guide leh, i do 1 for your now

  1. flash efsbackup.zip in your CWM
  2. don't quit CWM yet, go back to flash zip from SDcard, and enter SDCARD, take note of the directory the new EFS-BACKUP folder is, and go inside. Take note of the new efsbackupflashable.zip name also
  3. restart your N5 back into Android
  4. Connect N5 to your PC
  5. go to command prompt, from there, type "cd C:\<directory to your ADB/SDK tools>\sdk\platform-tools\", without the ""
  6. type adb pull <insert directory from step 2>, eg adb pull /sdcard/EFS-backup/efsbackupflashable.zip
  7. the efsbackupflashable.zip should appear inside the platform-tools folder, copy it out to somewhere that you will not lose it

think mariofan1998 way might be easier? I do it this way because i'm used to it :/ fuss-free for me coz don't need to download other stuff

Erm, pardon me asking why you still using adb pull ?

Why can't you just copy from the phone too the pc

serious,so many didn't receive the gst notice,ok i will ask my friend working in IRAS to look into this and sent you'll the gst notice:D

LOL :D Not that we want it. Its just that I am curious whether Tenso shipping is not subjected to GST.

Anyway I have already ordered my US set so there is no use thinking about it. Don't need the speed and my data limit is only 100MB/month :p

The mail you inquired about may experience a delivery delay in the destination country or territory.
March 25 2011 Notice of delay in conveying airmail items to Singapore

Does the problem still exist after 2 and a half years? XD

I can't see the folder when using mtp, no idea why also, even if I used root explorer

Ok I found it lol, but only through root explorer. It's buried somewhere :s22:

Takes 3 or 4 days to reach you, counting the day it's sent out from Japan

Hi guys, ordered on the night 12 nov from Google JP, shipping date on 15 nov, currently still pending/pre-order. Today's the 15th. Does the google shipping date follow's Japan's timing or they follow Google HQ in mountain view / the American timing (-8gmt)
