Waaa.. Pro.. Me nexus 4 never root before and now nexus 5 first day root via CD root le..can I ask a few question.. What is the efs backup for..? And I am interested to flash the faux kernel, but is it if u just flash it u will not have controls to it unless u buy the faux123 app..?
This is a very sensitive system folder that contains Phone-specific information such as the IMEI (encrypted in the nv_data.bin), wireless devices MAC addresses, product code (also in the nv_data.bin), and much more. Often users trying to change product codes or trying to unlock the mobile will end up corrupting data in this location.

I never flashed Faux kernel, but yeah i think you will not have controls unless you buy the faux123 app. However i read that theres some 3rd party app that might be able to do the same, just that it does not has support from the developer.
I'm using Franco at the moment, and even though i download the free version of the Franco Kernel Updater, it lists my device as not supported, so i'm just using it with the default settings.. for now.
