Thanks for the replies. I think i am getting the Japan set, so if there is anything wrong, i send it back to Japan?? Most of you here are using Japans set right?
Samsung Galaxy was quite laggy sometimes bu most importantly it drains battery faster even when at sleep. Moving to Nexus 5 was a big improvement for me and I never look back. Battery life is now good and most importantly when it sleep at night it only lose a few percent of battery juice.

Agree that the N5 standby time is better. Maybe it's the Art vs Dalvik file system advantage.

i recommend this. comes with front sp and lens sp. free shipment also.
i've bought it and the delivery time around 1 week.
Nillkin Matte Screen Protector For LG Nexus 5
Nillkin Anti-fingerprint Screen Protector For LG Nexus 5
yup, interested. But how long is the shipping?![]()
if this is the same as the tempered glass SP then it's a disappointment to me.
the size is too small and it keeps dropping off from my phone.
Please don't anyhow say things like that.
You do know the default runtime is still dalvik for the n5 right?
Tests have shown basically negligible differences for battery life between the two run times.
So there's no point switching to ART?
I changed the default to ART. Seems pretty OK to me.

Google has made ART more stable and it will be the default runtime in the next Android version.
It is much smoother (for scrolling) and snappier in some cases because ART pre-compiles for native code.
Java VM (or dalvik in the case of Android) is the main reason why Android is slower and more resource hungry than iOS(objective-c) when you have the same hardware.
Native vs bytecode.
So ART is a step forward to make Android run faster and closer to what native code can perform.
Spoken like a true engineer.
because only true engineers will know what ART really does.
But i am no engineer.
i am computer scientist![]()
Haha, i see..
Yeah, really hope that people won't keep comparing how Apple only uses dual core so smooth but Android can use octa-core core and still lags.
is there any thing to take note when purchasing a wall plug converter? went to BEST Challenger to look up for some, the price range from $1.90 (unknown brand) to $76.90 (skross travel adaptor), just worry using a cheap one might damage the original adapter or the phoneDon't bother to use outside those cheap cables, 10/10 cannot speed charge
I'm using my nexus 7 charger output is 1.5A I think.
But phone still charging at 1A max.
Usb charge is 500ma. But with kernel hack you can achieve 800 to 900ma.
In order to do AC charge, the data pins must be shorted.
It's internally shorted inside the ac adaptor, I check b4
I suspect the adaptor you are using now did not short the data pins.
Why not use back the original adaptor? You just have to buy apin converter
