Phone died at 7ish pm... Anw bro, you using AppOps or AppOpsXposed on Xposed framework? i can't figure out why my UI for AppOps is different from the one shown on playstore's screenshot or other youtube videos. Can't turn off the Keep Awake for google play services zzz

Anyway PA got its own apps control feature.

Are you using Google now? If not turn it off.

It keeps updating for your location.

On a side note, your signal is not too good, May cause batt drain switching between bands

ohh cause i was searching online and ppl were complaining saying that google play services is draining a huge chunk of battery away then there comes AppOps. i saw the SS in play store as well as some Youtube videos showing this layout but for me it's totally different and when it's different, i can't switch the keep awake of google play services to off -.-

2 consecutive days with 1hr xx min SOT lol

i do have hangouts, logged in but seldom use it. Even for SMS i use another app called Hello sms so basically my hangouts app is there for deco lol.

Off charger around 1230 last night, woke up 630 phone left with 96%. But once I'm out like now, only using whatsapp batt drop to 90 already lol

We tweak so much just to obtain a high amount of SOT I see over at the Z2 thread that guy only use the stamina mode he managed to clock over 10 Hours SOT -.-

Actually no, I would say its something like greenify? It reduces the background processing of apps, something like that but definitely not airplane mode

try to isolate the problem loh.
do a nandroid backup + data backup
wipe all format to install fresh and monitor again.

Download the free XDA version from here

Then set a custom ref, don touch your phone for 15-30min,
After that screenshot the "partial wakelock" and post here

I used to have this prob with google play services, but it's on my s4. One of the workarounds is to disable location services. Then reboot your phone. You can try.

There are some settings that reduce battery consumption by google stuff

1) under settings>wifi>advanced
- Untick scanning always available
- Tick Wi-fi optimization

2) settings>location>Location Services (Google location reporting)
- turn off the Location reporting & Location History for all your google accounts

*I use battery saving mode, and only switch to high accuracy when i need GPS


3) settings>data usage>overflow menu
- If you want to sync manually, you can turn off auto-sync data
- If you want restrict background data sync, you can tick it

*I have auto-sync enabled and restrict background data disabled.
I usually get 4h SOT (using franco kernel)

4) settings>accounts
- Under your google accounts, you might want to turn off Auto Backup for google+
- You might also want to turn off the syncing of some google apps.

* For me, I have auto-sync on, but I disable syncing of Google+, but I have the Google+ photo auto-sync enabled but on wifi only & while charging only.


You have to dig around the settings of google stuff and disable all those syncing stuff so that GMS will not have so much wakelock.

But its all give and take, by disabling more google services, you lose more of the google-ness. One such example is Google Now.

It is very personalized and google-ly but quite a lot of wakelocks
