As I reported that my replaced screen was still having the "yellow fever", the service centre told me to use it first until they have enough stock... I thought they meant "months".

To my surprise, I received a call from Bishan service centre yesterday morning to send my unit in again within the day itself. He was very polite and assured it would take 3 days at most as they will attend to it immediately. Moreover, they aim to finish it before the service centre's renovation that begins on coming Monday!

OK, this incident has somewhat touched me and given me an impression that SONY is still trying, pretty hard, to get back on track. Kudos! Keeping the customers happy is the key in every industry, isn't it?

At least SONY still maintain their good service standard! :D

Don't be so harsh on 'em, bro.

They are struggling to make everyone happy.

I got back mine yesterday. I don't wanna purposely heat it up to see if it still has the issue. I don't wanna see... I don't wanna care about it anymore... Enough of this nightmare. :s22:

For those interested in waking up the phone via the camera / volume buttons, you can flash this mod:

[MOD] WAKE UP SCREEN with volume key & camera - xda-developers

Please note that a rooted phone is required. And for now, you need an unlocked bootloader to root the Xperia S.

In fact, this should have been incorporated by the SONY's original firmware originally. I hope they will put it in for the ICS update. Otherwise, sooner or later, the sole power button might fail... :s8:

Still have to wait for the screen replacement stock to come in July, :(

If only there is a hack for phone screen to switch on, when front camera detects the user, that is good.

After ard 2 weeks or so burning in, my screen is getting whiter and whiter :D

The replacement screen is great! No issue and complains from me. Video on the mxplayer is razer sharp and clear. Love it.

To me, it's a bit soft. However my friend said hers is alright. I tried using her set and i find it a bit soft. But to her it is alright just nice.

So i also dun know how to answer whether is it soft or not.

I hope it goes the same to my second-replacement screen, too!
