Actually the latest gingerbread update made it more responsive compared to previous firmware. Unless you did not update or press the wrong places as its less obvious with only dots compared to icons on other phones.

good to hear. now i just need to wait for the official update for the Singtel set. by the way what are the major improvement? Is there and changes to the music player apart from the name?

Best feature in xs ICS should be the image gallery. You can pinch or flip to change the size of thumbs.

hm... official update for xperia S ICS seems to be in Q3, as quoted by 6range mobile in sony singapore facebook:

besides updating via pc companion, we should be able to update our xperia s on the fly right?

Sony Update Service software still works.

After sending my phone to change the LCD for my Xperia S, it was updated to ICS and according to the technician, the ICS only available this morning so those who cannot wait for ICS on your Xperia S, you can go down to service centre to update it and leave there for around 2 hours.

Link already been posted... just that people do not want. They rather wait for updates via PC companion or thru service center, for reasons i dun know why.

Long wait for XS ICS for now, it's totally worth it.

Well I would if I could. Web update and PC Companion always fail to detect my phones.

All these years I depend on Sony Update Service, but seems that it is not updated yet. =/
