Just updated my XS. All my apps are working like normal. At first it's laggy but after reboot and wait for awhile, it's much faster.

First *** says new ICS version available.

After auto-power-off during Update stage,
it says "There is no software available for your phone"

... wtf ?

*mine is from Mobilesquare shop and is on latest GB version

same problem. after noticing many problems after they update to ICS, i think better stay with GB first.

wow lau..1 facebook apps problem..then you tell ppl ICS in XS got lots of problem!!!

ICS on facebook already got problem...is not the phone issue, is the ICS on facebook issue lah. Same for S2 ICS too!

The only problem is that humans are never satisfied. =P

Ok, so I had update to ICS for my Xperia S one to two hours ago. At first, I saw quite a number of problems with the update. However, after the factory reset and the restoration, the ics updated isn't that bad.
Here's a screenshot of my phone current version.

Let me start with the problem that I had found with the new ics update. The time taken to launch the camera seems to be slower than the gingerbread os. However I think that that is not much of a problem.
The new Walkman music player is just a rename of the player and some minor UI improvements. Not much had change.

If you had encounter any crashes on the walkman app, just repair the phone or reformat the phone.
The gallery had also been changed to the app call album. Well, I don't really like the UI but I kind of feel like the photos seems to be clearer when viewing photos using the album app.

People had listed that when opening app and listening to music at the same time, the music will have some hiss sound or something. However, I did not encounter problem with it so far. The Xperia S display remain white on my phone even after the update. Overall, I find that the ICS update is quite good. There is only some bug at the start. After factory reset, it should be able to solve the problems.

Kinda regret to "repair" after I had done the upgrade. My apps were working fine.. No problem but hand itchy go n repair just to play safe...now it's like a new Phone. Everything need to start all over again. Remember to reset ur daily alarm... If not tmr can't wakie .. Lol

Yes, the album animation is a plus for Sony users as you will not find such nice animation in Samsung or HTC using ICS, the visualizer in the Walkman is also exceptional for us too.

Finally completed updating, repairing and restoring my apps and data. Played with ICS and it's running smoothly on the Xperia S (much better than how it ran on the Xperia Arc). I do get the music-stuttering issue though, even though it's only on occasion.

Now waiting for XDA developers to finish the 1st ICS kernel, so that I can get root.

When got whatsapp, my led notification doesn't light up.
